The Night Huntress series is my comfort reads! (I read them when they first came out and reread them like every year! lol) If you do read more, please read them in the Night Huntress WORLD order, not just the Cat and Bones ones! 😍 Vlad and Ian are my favorites but Bones always holds a special place for me too 🩷

If you're looking for a long 2000s style Vampire series, I recommend The Morganville Vampires! It's a bit cheesy but it's got some more intense and dark moments as well for a fun time

AAAAH i LOVED empire of the vampire!! So good! I'd also suggest the audiobooks for the series, the narrator does a great French accent! It's not a duology though, Kristoff finished the last draft of the third and final book a couple of weeks ago, so hopefully, we'll get it by 2025

I’d like to recommend the book ‘Stake’ by Kevin J Anderson. It’s a mystery/thriller where you don’t know if the main antagonist is killing actual vampires, there’s a lot of vampire lore in it, or if he’s just a crazy serial killer. It’s a lot of fun and also funny, total page-turner. I think you’d like it. Have fun 🦇🦇🦇

I'm writing a vampire novel of my own for the first time, and I wanted to make Vampires evil, twisted, and really in your face. I decided to set it in a far-off wild west post-apocalyptic future where the monsters that I grew up haunt the night to feed on mortals. I was hugely inspired by the Necroscope book series by Brian Lumley, and his vampires are the scariest of all vampires ever in literature. The things how he wrote his vampires are unnerving and how he describes them as if you were to see his version of a vampire in real life. You would run for your life like a deer trying to run from a hungry tiger. They are frightening and are very evil. To me, vampires are at their best when they are just evil monsters of horror.

If you don't mind older started series (started in 2003) of vampire books with a twist on vampires you might want to try The Argeneau Series by Lynsay Sands!! It's a 36 (so far) book series that the last book was released last year.. I love reading them as they are quick reads for me ❤❤
