​@@dominickeijzer5844 I've read a couple of fics that addressed this, and the two explanations I found to be common goes as follows: One: Helen/ the Mann brothers cloned the mercs. Or two: Helen/Mann bros roped in Merasmus to split their souls in half, with came with the ideal outcome of a new set of bodies for the ejected half to reside in. I kinda like two better than one, since it gives more reason for Merasmus to hang around and show up for events every Holloween. But both explanations are basically in character of the Mann Brothers wanting the same thing and refusing to give it completely to the other (the reason why so many maps have both team bases so close to one another despite them being enemies). While it is definitely fan-interpretation, it would be pretty on-brand for how screwy the TF2-verse is.

Well, technically there have been 2 cast changes. Originally, Dodger was Scout (in Medics Don't Heal Scouts), but since she lives across the ocean and has a family now, Katie has taken over the role. And Peter used to do the vocals for Medic, but now AJ does. (in "Engineers Are Your Friends" they explain the voice change as "Medic started smoking to relieve stress after The Incident")
