Dude ,my God I loved how you went about making this shield. I honestly think I'm only just marginally smart enough to see the genius that went into the process and nowhere near those skills. From your seeing the curvature of the leaf springs and cutting the triangular sections so that they made the circle, to your diligent welding and skills working on a lathe. Intuitive and remarkable, that's a battle worthy make of such a beloved shield. You would deserve the mad amount of money you could make from selling it. I don't think an artist like you would sell it, it was mad with heart. I would be too proud of such a piece of battle art to sell. First video watched, immediately subscribed. Just immaculate work good sir, you're a credit to mankind.

We we're wondering how much skill backgrounds you have. Engineering, welding, the heating elements was incredible. The grinding and sanding and even leather works which is usually a separate profession but you're excellent in that. This was the most insanely inspiring video I've seen with such amazing skill! Truly a master craftsman!

Impressive! But could you have made one diagonal cut in the leaf springs to get the desired shape?
@emanruoyАй бұрын
A common steel for leaf springs is 5160, which is incredibly durable (provided the heat treatment is done well). It was relatively new in his time but 5160 steel was a favorite for Genghis Khan. Very nice work man!

Well Done RH! Been watching for a while, love the inclusion of nature when you stumble across it, and the basic techniques you use when that’s all required; shows true talent. Nevertheless, in my opinion I think this is the best video you’ve made. Good project, lots of steps and intuition they provide plus the camera work was excellent. You have out done yourself sir, no wonder it took a while (6 months?). You should be proud. Give yourself a pat on the back as I enjoyed that immensely.
