Please visit our Kickstarter Campaign for an awesome Ghost Town TV Series idea for the Pilot Episode production - we appreciate any support: www.kickstarter.com/projects/...
Join us as we put our boots on the ground of this lost ghost town and uncover its hidden history. Using LIDAR technology, we are able to identify a few points of interest. We also compare this data with an old village map to gain a better understanding of the town's layout of what was once, Amatol Village, NJ.
Throughout the video, we will share LIDAR imagery and discover some remants and artifacts we haven't found when were here before.

Good to see that the Amatol book scans are back online. The original site they were on disappeared years ago. I'm glad the fire company put them back up. The actual physical book was in the collections of the Hammonton Historical Society, and I was allowed to pick it up and leaf through it once, years ago. From what I was told, at a later date, another person was given the same privilege, and that person somehow stole it. We explored the town area many years ago, in my film camera days. I remember a lot of that weird thin concrete debris very well. We also explored the munitions area. I actually did that by myself once also. In those days, Bing Maps had something called the Bird's Eye View, which was better than any aerial. With that I could see all the structures in the munitions area clearly. But the Bird's Eye View later disappeared from use for some reason. Anyway, good explore.

@@RusticVentures That was several years ago. I'm trying to be hopeful, and say, maybe it has been recovered by now. :)

There appears to be a railway (sorry, railROAD 😁) line marked on that map and what look like station buildings. 🚂🚃🚃
