Probably not. These are made with railroad ties, which are 1018 steel. This means they have 0.18% carbon in them. A "semi decent" knife should have 0.40% carbon. These knives will absolutely not hold an edge, even trying to whittle wood. They'll also rust if you so much as look at them cross-eyed. They're just mass producing garbage to sell to people who don't know any better.

гавно клинок.. после того как чел сжЁг метал (когда на клинке делал спуски... металл посинел... выгорел углерод) нож стал как ст. 3(мягкий) а бумагу режет ЛЮБОЙ металл, только заточи хорошо! а этот клинок рез держать не будет!!!

Not exactly. In Russia road steel has 0.76 - 0.82% of Carbon. Compare it to 0.44 - 0.60% of Carbon in 420HC steel - a very popular material for making inexpensive knifes.
