I was there at this event, this was in Atlanta, still have the events program from it. Awesome experience.😁 Even I got some congrats from local people who knew me when I won my title the year before in the 1994 NPC Georgia. I even met the late Gregory Hines who was there in attendance. Arnold towers over everyone else. He literally dwarfs everyone in stature. The only real tall guy of all the Olympias. He was disadvantaged with long limbs and long legs, but still crafted his physique to one of the greatest, which was 20 years ahead of its time.

Arnold's long limbs were not a disadvantage. In his best shape he easily had the most perfect physique, and no one yet has approached it. The vast majority of people recognize Arnold's body as the best that has ever existed in bodybuilding.

Long limbs can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the length of the muscle belly. Arnold was blessed with two full biceps brachii muscles that peaked marvelously. Unfortunately, his right biceps were so tremendous that it slightly dwarfed his left. One of the few marginal faults of the GOAT.

Sitting here in my car watching this it’s hard to fight back tears. As a young kid with bodybuilding dreams I remember getting the issue of muscle and fitness when I was 14 where Samir had just won the Olympia. As I grew into a 6 foot 6 adult I realized I would never compete but the magazines the contests I attended all the great gyms visiting Venice when I was in the Marines, the lifelong friendships, Joe Weider is responsible for creating this experience that I discovered. I couldn’t imagine my life as it is today without bodybuilding as a large part of it.

I've never seen this and didn't know it existed. My jar hit the ground and I had tears in my eyes this was very moving I grew up in the late seventies early '80s and of course Arnold was the man but all these other guys were awesome too. When the narrator said we will never have them all together again that was really very prophetic and made me sad but at least they had this moment together all of them in the camaraderie was priceless! You can see Joe was visibly shaken by this I'm glad they did this for him! RIP

I know at one time, Lee Haney had received a lot of death threat letters when he beat Arnold's consecutive Olympia win record, and Haney received even more death threats when he beat Arnold's overall Olympia win record. Some of those letters even threatened Haney's wife and children. So Haney had a lot to deal with, and I can see why he retired after his 8th win. It is a shame though because Haney put it all together for his 8th Olympua win, and he could have competed for another year or two, especially since Dorian did not fully develop until a few years after Haney's last Olympia competition. But c'est la vie... Haney decided to move on to other things and to spend more time with his family and do charitable work dealing with at-risk youth.

I just saw him in an episode of ‘hart to hart ‘ or something. it was playing in the background on hallmark before a Columbo episode. in the beginning he was shown as a stereotypical freak bodybuilder. lifting weights, always in shorts. near the end of the show he was wearing normal shirts and pants, suit and tie. and could act a bit and came of as charming.
