this is coming from someone who’s never played any nioh games but, how is he playing wrong? i saw someone else mention he plays too fast is that the issue? from my perspective as a nioh nobody it seems he’s playing fine. so just wanna know what he’s doing wrong

@@dirtmouth6861 it's just weird to see someone who has apparently speed run the first game struggle so much on the second one which is mostly easier from my experience. Also it seems like he forgot a lot from the first game and the whole "armour is worthless" bit seems crazy to me who is constitution main. I'm not saying he's playing wrong exactly but I would have thought that he was new to the franchise if he didn't say otherwise.

I have been playing through since it released on pc, watching these uploads after I've played the region, and was thinking the same. Obviously I don't know how much balancing and patches have changed the game since it's ps4 release, but I've been screwing around with mainly switchglaive and magic, chucking on light armour set bonuses as they come and staying in blue or green weight. Wasn't going to give much thought to "build" until at least ng+ as it doesn't seem to be necessary... But he plays like someone with no concept of ki management, equip weight, spacing, timing, paying attention to surroundings, pattern learning, learning his own moves and burst counters per guardian. I just got to a part where he says " I couldn't dodge out of those 4 attacks"... you can't dodge once you've been hit, you block. There's so much that leaves me thinking 'you're doing this on purpose, right?'. I didn't even finish nioh 1 but this is, as you say, like watching someone who's never set foot in the franchise, even genre at times.

The game is free now and I'm sure more players will try it, especially, if they have a souls background but I honestly watch it for the laughs and to see how he would approach a similar area or boss. As far as him utilizing all the mechanics properly, that part can be a little frustrating but I have moments where I rely on a certain stance's attacks (heavy highs & mids) to engage while maintaining distance with my odaki.

My time in Nioh 2 was easy too years ago and I still sometimes just play the game because I love this game, that doesnt mean this comment of him being dogsheit is constructive lol. It's just an opinion and Ive seen far worse Nioh 2 gameplay.

@magnoliaflute4856 When did I say he was raging lol. All I did was point out that as someone who has played their fair share of Nioh/Nioh 2, it's very frustrating to watch. All the things I said about him not paying or not reading anything then saying something is useless is true. If you watch the vod you'll see it occur on multiple occasions. For example he basically calls some dude an idiot for saying blocking is crucial, which it is in nioh, because he doesn't pay attention to anything so he doesn't understand. He runs around naked for hours because "armour is useless" need I go on? I absolutely did not add anything to "enhance my narrative" you really pulled that from out of your a$$. And again, when did I say he rages? Though if I had said that I would have still been right because he literally says on multiple occasions "I'm getting tilted" and becomes a little defeated for a while when he gets stuck on that one area with the Ipon Datarra You can also read any of the other comments to see its not just me saying this. It's all just people making factual observations. You don't need to try and come in and white Knight him, it's ironic because Charlie hates people that do lol

Switchglaive scales best with Magic, that's why he's using it. Omnyo Magic is pretty great, too, he's just using shitty spells & trying to cheese every boss with Sloth Talismans like it's Nioh 1. He's just got a bad build.

I don’t think I saw him level constitution, or heart more than twice which is why he keeps getting one shot.

Open world nioh would be amazing, not a fan of the mission system either It doesn’t need to be massive but being able to ride to your objectives would be cool. Maybe the region system stays so all the regions culminate into an open world. Idk, I’d love that. More opportunity to see my character and have a false sense of “freedom” Like if you ride a horse, maybe get a glider and or grapple I was bored of open worlds until Elden ring came along, nioh with ER’s O’W’ formula would be so cool And yes I want the character creation back too lol

“Combat is garbage” yeahhhhh you weren’t very good at it, were you? Art style is great, idk what you’re on about there. Story is easy to miss if you don’t read the loading screens/talk to npcs, but if you actually follow its pretty decent. This take is almost as bad as quantum tvs elden ring review. Dude couldn’t grasp the fundamentals of the game so therefore its a bad game
