Randy has a passion for music and the history of it like very few do...also might add he has his share of hit songs..And of course he identifies with George Harrison ....This man is Rock and Roll history on the hoof a very rare breed, loves it...lived it...made it...and remembers it !

"Four trainwrecks of genius"! What a description of The Beatles. I'm sure George is smiling down on Randy.

"I'm So Happy Just To Dance With You" was sung by George, but it was written by John and Paul.

I kind of missed the songs there.

How do they get their mics to have that “broadcaster” sound?

Beatles opening chord for Hard Days Night has been much debated.....& Randy's explanation is technically correct....but my buddy says they were just probably stoned and stumbled on the chord........:)

The Beatles had never smoked any reefer until they met Bob Dylan, in New York, in late August of 1964. The song was recorded several months earlier, in April of that year.

just watched 8 days a week documentary........it was just fanfare for in between movie scenes.....but they liked it so much they added it to the front of the song........whatever the case it was genius!

It's just a G7sus4/D, no big deal really. Bachman voiced it accurately on that video where he replicated it with three instruments.. What no one ever mentions is the that same chord is arpeggioed and faded at the END of Hard Days Night as well

And which song by Randy Bachman will be remembered?
@toddvandell855 жыл бұрын
@sveiinnordal Well, obviously you're a Beatles fan and a Randy Bachman hater, because Randy has boatloads of hit singles with both the Guess Who AND Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Which you would know, if you were a fan. Which, obviously, you are not. The songs mentioned in this segment were just the tip of a much larger iceberg of numerous great hit singles by a great pop songwriter, Randy Bachman. I could list all of them here, but I am also savvy enough to realize THAT isn't really your point. Your point is simply to note that you prefer George Harrison and The Beatles, and, obviously strongly disdain anything Randy has contributed to the rock music canon. And that's okay. You are entitled to your opinion. You are also certainly entitled to be a Beatles snob. There are a few of us who are fans of Randy's music and all the great hits he wrote for both the Guess Who and Bachman-Turner Overdrive. Besides. Even if I listed ALL Randy's hits that he will be remembered for long after he passes, you will just use the opportunity to bash every single one on the list for NOT being a Beatles song or a George Harrison song. And if you're asking because you really don't know and are actually interested? I will be surprised. Because your snide, virulently condescending tone gives the distinct impression you're just itching for a fight and want any reason to trash Randy for not being George. We all get it, Beatles troll. Go bother someone else with your childishly puerile cracks about what songs Randy will be remembered for. I will say this much: Far more than you will EVER know. But, I'm not jumping to the bait more than I have so far. We get it. You're a Randy hater. Thanks so much for the news flash, condescending asshat that you are. Go annoy someone else with your self-serving, ego maniacal attitude.

YOU COULD OF PLAYED ''HERE COMES THE SUN?'' WHY DID YOU NOT PLAY IT FOR THE FANS? DISAPPOINTED!
@arno-luyendijk47986 жыл бұрын
Dude...nobody will take you serious by using capital letters, that's for starters. Then, check your spelling: if you mean to wite "you could have played"....use a dictionary before writing something the whole world will see. Phonetical writing will only result in taking what you have to say down the drain. And third: maybe all radio listeners will already enjoy what mr Bachman has to say apart from playing his guitar, especially musicians (besides, you can also buy the album if you support mr Bachman's musical enthusiasm). Positivism will take you further than a negative stance.

Thanks for the link Dave. I chose to listen the spotify entry and it sure was a nice experience. Not everything the way mr Bachman rearranged was my kind of choice but he sure put a lot of energy and effort in it......and love for George's music. that is for sure.
