Randy Ball MiG-17 & Jet Truck Race 2024 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show

Randy Ball tears up the sky at the 2024 MCAS Cherry Point Air Show. Shot on Saturday, May 11 and Sunday May 12.
Randy Ball is the most experienced and accredited civilian air show jet pilot in North America. He has flown in 42 different aircraft, and is the only pilot to have both day and night time level 1 unlimited jet aerobatics licenses. He has flown over 1,000 air show performances in jet aircraft. The MiG-17 was the first Russian production fighter jet with an afterburning engine. Up until the arrival of the F-16, it was the tightest turning fighter jet in the world.
This video features clips from his Saturday and Sunday performance merged together. In addition, Randy raced the Hot Streak II Jet Truck driven by Hayden Proffitt II on Saturday only. Unfortunately, there was an issue with the MiG's afterburner, so it wasn't used in the performance.
