Randy doesn’t get enough credit- he’s probably the most burning trumpet player today directly out of the jazz lineage of Clifford, Freddie, Woody Shaw, Lee, etc. He’s got more of the vocabulary and expression than anyone out there. He has chosen his gigs and direction, doesn’t focus on acoustic music, play the Vanguard, etc, but he’d smoke everyone else if he did.

Brother Randy Brecker, been a Fan since my High School days of the mid and late 70's. I was at the Detroit Jazz Festival 2018. You and some other Trumpet players did a tribute to the late great Freddie Hubbard. Really enjoyed that tribute. Continued success my friend.
