As a kid it was a big deal seeing this guy pitch. I am glad I was old enough to appreciate his Arizona years especially the 2001 WS classic

Sandy Koufax is the best pitcher in MLB history 1963-66 best years any pitcher has ever had. Plus Koufax being the best pitcher makes him the best ball player ever because pitcher is the hardest position in baseball

What Pedro Martinez did in the late 90's and early 00's right in the thick of the steroid era is more impressive than anything any other pitcher has done, including Koufax. I'll take 2000 Pedro over any pitcher in history.

Sandy koufax is my favorite lefty pitcher, i know randy Johnson threw 100mph plus and a unhittable slider

ever since I watched him in 2001 World Series against the Yankees there was something unique about The Big Unit he scared the s*** out of me every time I see him and his tallness there's no question of mine the greatest Lefty this ever pitched in Major League Baseball and the most fierce. 5 time Cy Young Award winner only second to Rodger Clemens and 4875 strikeouts second place only to Nolan Ryan

You talk about two guys that are tough to deal with..WOW..has there ever been a better duo? Maddox and Smoltz? Clemens and Pettitte? I don't know..but with those two seems they should have won more than 1 WS.

Think of him as a modern left-handed version of Walter Johnson with a more explosive arsenal. He’s the modern “Big Train.”

Brian OSullivan Walter Johnson as started it all beyond legendary maybe the best fastball without the speed gun, randy johnson threw 100mph plus and a nasty slider to go with it he handed the pitcher the baseball

Randy in his first 8 years, he wasn't good. He had a control problem. After he moved to Toronto blue Jay, oh my God he learned to pitch, I don't know who teach him but that randy was incredible as pitcher.
