I remember watching it live and then visiting Goldshire on Blackrock server as Horde with friends. We were all just dancing with Alliance and goofing off. The was pvp in the periphery by ill-mannered Alliance and it was good times.

My friends and I were all deep into our WoW addiction by that point (8th grade) and we were so excited for that episode to come out. We were all on TeamSpeak together while we watched the episode. It was the one time a TV show took us away from playing the game 🤣 we talked about it for the entire lunch period the next day at school, too. good times man.

The "cock magic" was from an episode they did where they were fighting roosters like "cock fights" but they were playing magic the gathering card game rather than physical fights. but it was held underground like a fight club or cock fight ring. I actually met my wife through World of Warcraft and we have been together now for 10 years! Still playing too. As for what MMO is most popular, Final Fantasy XIV is the biggest in the Asian market and WoW is bigger in the West. Both are fantastic games and are better at different things.

As far as I know - Final Fantasy XIV is the biggest MMORPG these days. WoW is still going strong but the prime days are over. The software support for WoW is amazing ..they made DX 12 available under Windows 7, there are native clients not only for Apple Silicon but even Windows for ARM ..

WOW is still pretty big, but many other MMOs (massive multiplayer online) games have come into their own. I played ESO (Elder Scrolls Online) daily for no less than six hours a day, for three years... yeah I had to get away from it too. Now I just play casually on Steam. Right now I think the biggest MMO RPG is Final Fantasy XIV. Another one I don't really care for.
