Song even won an Emmy, and was covered by Snoop Dawg lol, and an ASCAP Award. So rightly deserved. The lyrics of the song actually are about dark times in society, social ills and problems, but it truly alights the spirit. Just an outstanding piece of work, would make a great high-end bar or other city night venue live performance too, lol. And I think Mr. Newman has done those regularly, I would not be surprised.
