I always think of my Grandfather when I hear this. He was born in 1899 and I loved him dearly. God bless you.

The timbre of his rich baritone voice is unparalleled. My favorite Randy Travis songs are Reasons I Cheat; Promises; Take Another Swing At Me; This is Me; Look Heart, No Hands; Spirit of a Boy, Wisdom of a Man; That’s Where I Draw the Line; I Told You So; The Box; He Walked On Water; Three Wooden Crosses; More Life; Hard Rock Bottom of Your Heart; It’s Just a Matter of Time; On the Other Hand; and Forever and Ever Amen.

Wow, so I just got your video in my feed. 11 months ago you posted this. My friend, this was one of Randy Travis' greatest songs. I'm sorry to report that since his stroke, he cannot sing anymore. I pray he recovers.

Country music in the 90's was all about emotions. This song makes me think of my grandfather, who died of emphysema in 1987 at age 75. He worked in the metalurgy lab at Caterpillar Tractor Company until he retired in 1971. Then he and my grandmother built a home on Table Rock Lake in the Ozarks of Missouri. My grandpa was always full of wisdom and humor. The first time I heard "He Walked On Water", that's who I immediately thought of. Your tears are legit. This song tugs at the heartstrings of anyone who has ever had to come to terms with the death of a loved one.

I'm sorry about your grandmother. Losing a loved one is so hard. This is one of my favorite songs by Randy Travis. There is a comforting song for those who have lost loved ones, it helps me and you might like it, it's by Chris Stapleton and it's called Broken Halos.
