Nice work, Its hard finding the needle in the haystack let alone getting a good shot opportunity out there. In my experience they usually bed higher up where they can see. They must have been pretty confident in that spot. I was able to fill a tag following fresh tracks. Its an awesome way to do it if the conditions are right. If they aren't pressured they don't go to far, but if they get pushed don't bother they will go farther than you can walk in a day.

That was a great episode; one of my favorite Fresh Tracks episodes in a long time. To say that you earned that bull the hard way in an understatement. Most hunters would have given up after two days of seeing almost nothing. The fact that you stuck it out is what got you that elk. While I watched the video, my first thought was that the pack out is going to really suck, and it did. I can't say that I have any hunting buddies that would help me get that critter out of there if I would have shot it down in that hell hole, so it is an understatement how much Marcus helped out.

We have unit 46-1 right now and have only seen 1 herd and it was running hard. We are stumped and have driven hundreds of miles and sometimes hours and only a few miles. We have walked ridges, canyons and more ridges in unit 47 and haven't seen a single elk. We did see a helicopter running some deer herds and land on a huge private area so that was discouraging and kind of put a damper on the "coveted" hunt😔 we were told a certain outfitter owns that massive area and produces many successful private hunts we can now see why! Thanks for showing how the work paid off, God bless and I will continue to watch when we get done hopefully with a filled tag and meat in the freezer.
