About RangaNayaka Sagar Reservoir:
From Hyderabad distance is 103km. Its a 2 hour journey.
You need to travel on hyderabad karimnagar highway towards sidhipet.
After 5km from Sidhipet you have to take a left turn.
From here it is around 4km distance.
There are total 7 links are in kaleswaram project.
Link-I: From Medigadda Barrage on Godavari River to Sripada Yellampalli Project
Link-II: From Sripada Yellampalli Project to Mid Manair Dam.
Link-III: From Mid Manair Dam to Upper Manair Reservoir.
Link-IV: From Upper Manair Dam to Konda Pochamma Reservoir.
Link-V: From Anicut to Chityala.
Link-VI: From Sri Komaravelli Mallanna Sagar to Singur Dam.
Link-VII: From SRSP Foreshore to Nizam Sagar Canals and to Dilawarpur and Hangarga village for Nirmal and Mudhole Constituency.
Distance from secunderabad to this reservoir is 103 km. Journey time is around 2 hours.
This reservoir is located on karimnagar highway after crossing sidhipet.
We have to take a left turn after crossing sidhipet at police commissioner-ate board.
From here distance is 4 km straight road to ranganayaka sagar reservoir.
Total cost of this project is 3300 crores.
Water storage capacity: 3 TMC.
Irrigation can be provided to 1.1 lac acres using water from this reservoir.
Total length of the reservoir bund is 8.65km.
Water filled in this reservoir using 3 motors in 3 days.
Total 7 links are there in kaleswaram lift irrigation project.
This reservoir comes under link 4.
Water in link 4 comes from upper manair dam to here
Here to mallanna sagar project.
From there water will be supplied to kondapochamma sagar project.
Total size of the land is 2200 acres.
water will be released to around 400 lakes or check dams using this project.
There is reservoir with the name annapurna inbetween manair dam and ranganayaka sagar reservoir.
This annapurna reservoir was built at 397 meters height from sea level.
Ranga nayaka sagar constructed at 490 meters height from sea level.
Distance between these two reservoirs is 20km.
Water can be lifted to 93 meters height in this 20km distance.
This is one place which you can visit in one day from hyderabad.
Crowd is less here as compared to kondapochamma sagar.
you have cross a toll gate on the way to reach here.
There is no fasttag facility on karimnagar high way toll gates.
Only cash transactions allowed.
There is no proper restaurant nearby this reservoir.
dhabas are there at sidhipet.
It is better to carry our own food instead of eating outside in these unusual times.

Hi, nice video. On top of it, it is just beside siddipet city(hardly 2-3kms) there are many other roads linked to it, you took one on Rajeev rahadaari. Moreover siddipet has many classy restaurants and also siddipet dabha's are very famous.

Great information & Video - Awesome coverage. I see you covered couple of reservoirs part of Kaleshwarem. Here is my suggestion - Please start at ground zero i.e Medigadda and follow the water lifting all the way to KondaPochamma. I know it could be a 3 to 4 days endeavor but it could be quite educational and clarify's what the project is all about. Any event - Sincerely ThankQ and great music BTW :-)
