I saw an episode of 'The Persuaders' where the pair took an early Range Rover on a short cut through fields to catch some kidnappers. The car was new at the time, and you could tell the scene was created to shock the viewers who would not have believed such a plush vehicle could have done that.

Aye Seen that also !!. Dad and Uncle bought a pair in 71 and worked the arses of em !!!, some tool !! pulling bogged 6 wheelers out! unbelieveable performance and capability. Sold them for more money than they paid new at 2 years old and took 2 more new ones and did the same for 8 years or so and sold every one for more than they paid after 2 years graft !!. Very Satisfying Motor Car !!

My mate owned a Cuberthson series took it around the m25 took a while, I was atleast 6 inches shorter, and deaf afterwards but I was smiling for the whole 3 and a half hours

There were a couple of Rangies used on the New Avengers tv series in the 70s. BL supplied loads of cars, MG, SD1, Jag, TR7, Mini etc

Had five Land Rovers over the past 50 years, three were Series 1 Range Rovers, all great vehicles, not keen on the latest version though!

Thing IS !!!! Land Rover could produce a Range Rover Classic with a few tweaks to bring it up to date !! BUT latest designers aint got the Charles Spencer King Magic !!!!

I do believe the new Discovery Sport is the best of the new LR products. Unfortunatly I feel the new (full sized) Disco looks a bit bloated - bring on the facelift.....

Range Rover......what a load of truly unreliable pile of scrap! Anything adorning a Land Rover badge is either broken down or just about to. Avoid at all costs!
