I have a classic, and I enjoyed this demo very much, didn't know the light was a definitive signal! Thanks

Got the devil off not to hard removed drivers side floor pan adapted Impact philips head bit to a shifter And a ring spanner and off she came. With engine running used dash control to activate the Fork and it moved reasonably well one way but not much the Other way. Going to try the Suction/ blow test before buying a new one. Hard to get. When the switch is pulled out to engage the Lock it makes a hissing sound im told this is correct but should it stop or continue? Great vidS

not sure on whether it should hiss or not, I would have thought not. Check the vacuum tubes from switch to diff lock actuator, sounds like the one to disengage may be split

Love the vid. Got A Land Rover Perentie Australian model. 3.9 isuzu Lt95A gearbox. Problem is could not get diff lock to activate. No red light. Blocked off switch vents and got lock to work ,red light on all working. Problem cant get it to disengage now. Thinking crook diaphram.

yes it sounds that way, or the plunger is so sticky that the diaphram cannot shift it, getting it apart is easy. access however rarely is. good luck

Tried the blow and suck test and it moves the fork when I blow does nothing when I suck. Can move it both directions by hand no prob. Hand mounted it like in your demo raised right hand rear wheel off the ground and it s locked up . with the transfer box in neutral and Actuator placed inside to engage ring nothing happens when i move the housing ,still engaged.
