Hi , I recently came across this video , do you know where I could purchase the white plastic pick up pipe that is attached to the filter for the auto gearbox. The one I have is broken and I have tried searching for them on eBay but isn’t coming up with the right ones. If you could get back to me and let me know the name for it or the part number please I will appreciate that a lot.

Great video but my 99 P38 doesn't appear to have a fill plug. A forum suggested I had to refill from the dipstick tube but that would take hours. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi john.thanks for all videos .all great.I have 1998 4.6 litre hse.i can only use gearbox manuelly.i changed oil and clean the filter still the same..what can i do next ?

Lurer bare på en ting når det gjelder min P 38, når jeg rygger tar det lang tid å få opp turtallet og bilen går tregt i 4-5 sekunder før den kommer, gelder også når bilen settes i drive, tar litt tid føre turtallet kommer opp. Hva kan det være ?

Could I ask you a question please . I have a year 2000 p38 dhse . The problem I'm having is there is a lack of power from a standstill notice it more in reverse I've checked the map line fitted a new map sensor and it's still the same

These engines are a bit hesistant until the revs build up and boost builds up. Mine lags about 1-2 seconds before it wakes up. Thanks for watching.

My transmission pan was smashed by front drive shaft u joint breaking. I kind of want to replace it and kind of want to leave it and call it preclearanced.

Ouch, I hope the pan survived. Could have quickly been a expensive fix if all the engine oil drained out and the engine became damaged because of that. Sounds like you had a bit of luck in the middle of bad luck with the drive shaft u-joint. Thanks for watching!

Thank you. I only got a bowl out from the old fluid it doesn’t seem like much, did I do something wrong? Not as easy as it looks at least my current experience but I’m working on it

You should easily get 5 litres or more drained out if you drain from the bottom plug. If not the transmission probably has been low on oil. Any signs of leaks around the pan, shift lever or drive shaft? Refilling it can be a bit tricky if you don't have stands or a lift to gain better access. Thanks for watching!

Hi Seb. They should be there. Might be dirty or broken off perhaps. You can replace the zerk points if needed. I recommend you grease them after driving the car for a while so that the grease has warmed up and it'll be easier to insert new grease. Thanks for watching!

if you input air pressure in the tube of filter the torque oil come out ?

Good question. I don't think you'll get all out as the air can escape past the oil in many passages. And the pressure might harm components, so I wouldn't try it. Just disconnect the return line and add oil while running the engine until all the oil is out. Thanks for watching.

Work On P38 After 14 years of owning my P38 I found how to stop the EAS from going wrong. It was always going down on the back. Thought it was airbags and was about to replace them. Much easier fix. Now it works perfect and never drops down. I’m not sure how everyone hasn’t discovered how to solve it. My P38 is perfect now. Never had any problems except air suspension with it. Numerous compressor pumps later 🙈
