I decided to go with the Range Rover Velar R-Dynamic S (Blacked Out) because I have always loved the comfort and design of the brand. The car looks absolutely amazing, I had the chance to drive one for about a month as a rental because my car was in the shop. It was a 2021 Velar with R-Dynamics and about 11k kms on the ODO. The car looks great on the outside, no question about it but that's about it. There were so many issues with the car that other users on the forums also had. Its not a practical car at all when you compare it to other SUV of its price. The gas milage was absolutely terrible even for an Inline 6 and the raising and lowering of the air suspension made the worst sound I've ever heard come from a car. The velar is best utilized when parked. Just my opinion.

It's not a V6, it's inline 6. I know it might sound strange to none car guys, but not every 6 cylinder engine has a V configuration. Great video btw.

My friend has the supercharged v8 velar, really really awesome cool car. Engine had to be replaced once in the first three years, but it went under warranty so that was kinda fine. The infotainment is the only thing he is sometimes complaining about, but generally the car is pretty cool

I bought one of these September last year brand-new, by Christmas I gave it back range rover are nothing but problems. The electrics are shocking the suspension constantly have issues. It's funny because everyone here in the UK stay away from range rover

The velar does not give the Range Rover driving experience that makes people come back to them again and again. The windscreen and seat are not in the commanding wide view RR classic setup. The Velar is a crossover RR for people who find the Evoque too small or downclass.

so i think you have 4 different options in the UK. normal velars come with standard sound system. S models come with meridian sound system. SE an HSE come with meridian surround and the paid option is meridian signature with the most speakers and power. You will be fine with the standard Meridian system for day to day casual listening but anyone who is more of an audiophile will want the surround system and signature is mainly for audiophiles who want the absolute best quality

it's one thing to say that you need an SUV as a means of transportation - and another to say that you think SUVs are great in general, and here you also have the convenience of a larger trunk than in a coupé - but if it were really just about the size of the trunk, a classic station wagon would do here - for example, an Audi A6 Avant or the T-model from Mercedes - much more sustainable and less " pretentious". SUVs are just bloated sedans, which I also like very much, but you definitely don't have more space than in a regular station wagon and the consumption is significantly higher - unsuitable as a company car, in my opinion - you're probably more interested in tax advantages ;)

We’ll see what he thinks 1-2 years out. Many people online say it’s a beautiful car but it’s poorly made. That’s why Asian cars are the best in maintenance. Regrettably Velar will be shop a lot after 1 to 2 years. Read peoples reviews.

this is a very polite interview lol- I have a Range Rover with the pivvy system and it’s still laggy compared to BMW and Audi- I also hate the navigation system you mentioned it’s easy to use but it’s not accurate I’ve been an hr late to every destination using it and just settled with apple car play, which doesn’t allow HUD navigation directions which sucks

3:45 there really is nothing worse than touch and too many unnecessary features in a car. This may sound regressive, but operating a touch control or touch buttons without looking is just not really possible, even if it's probably just getting used to it. real buttons, on the other hand, can be operated blindly. Besides, a car doesn't really need anything more than music and climate control.

My mom has the 2018 P380 velar and she loves it. Its ACTUALLY reliable despite landrover’s struggle with making reliable cars in the past. Probably not more reliable than a Lexus but far more than the 2000’s era

That's good to hear :-) I also have a family member with a Range Rover (not sure which one) but they also had no reliability issues. To be fair though, the people who say they're unreliable are usually the kind who throw insults, lie and exploit the audience to get money... so they're not really to be trusted. Despite past surveys showing the brand to not be the most reliable, they appear to be making significant progress :-D

The only thing I hate about the Velar is it’s ground clearance , 194 mm is pretty low for an SUV it will get bottomed out so quick , some high sitting sedans have that , otherwise lovely car
