Now go and get a modern 2 meter rod (used for fishing) Cut it to , maybe one and a half meter long (?) mount your hook on the end and see what that does. -- rod is more flexible but the tip would be too flexible, and you would have to remove the eyelets on the rod and a rod would have a very ergonomic grip

Yes, but it's an interesting technology that shoots much superior arrows.

It's easier to make than a bow with limited tools or time. Break off a branch with a notched fork vs carefully carving a bow from seasoned wood.

That's like asking why the interest in bows since the rifle is so much superior. One answer is 'historical interest'. The atlatl was invented nearly 10,000 years before the bow and arrow.

But my regord last 10 ears in Finland🇫🇮.... when one athelic spear man in Finland🇫🇮 break my record ...he throw 231 m ✨🧸✨ 👶👏...but he have very speed hand....but I have still slow hand World records in throwing atlalt spear✨👶✨...and World records in boomerang long distance throwing in ears 1980 ..,ower 400 m ..but it it is the bad boomerang , Works streinge way , not good .
