I started playing before Kunark and made 60 during Kunark. I grouped for social purposes, but I made better XP solo in most cases. You just have to know the sweet spots, like the entrance to Kedge Keep around 40-45 (can't remember exactly). Rangers are very underrated duelists too. I never lost a duel, including beating notoriously good dueling classes like Necros that were 4-5 levels above me. You just put on the right gear for the class you're against. Playing a Ranger on EQ was one of my favorite video game experiences.

I have never played a melee in EQ (past level 12). Really wanting to give either Ranger or SK a shot. Your video made me feel good about Ranger, not looking to be the best just fun this go around. Probably TLP because that hybrid tax on p99 before Velious is ouch

Just stumbled across your channel while searching for Project 1999/classic EQ Ranger content. I rolled a human ranger on P99 Green and am looking forward to the experience despite their “meme” status. Looking forward to checking out your Ranger video backlog! As a side question, what’s the population on Mangler like now? Why Mangler instead of P99?

@@IonBlaze1 Hey, question . Never played a ranger on EQ back then. Now that I got back into it what is the difference on diety items ?? does race + diety affect ranger dps ??? I heard go tunare/wood elf for max dps ...is that true ?? I kind of like half elves but they told me that the cultural fletching skills on wood elves is great and not found on other races and that a tunare bow is great wepon to use .
