Unless you are an experienced mechanic. Its always recommended to disconnect the battery.

I got them from Alibaba. But you can get them from Amazon or eBay too.

hey guys, so i have tried removing the 2 little covers and changing the pin location as the seller advised me and still not working ,the left side only, thanks

Basically the new controls have a small cover hiding two pins. Take the cover out on both controllers
