My motm was Barron he was outstanding. Was all over the park and won the ball back in some brilliant challenges. I’d love to see how many miles he covers each game. He’s turning into some player. I agree tho Jefte was brilliant I’ve liked watching him get better each game. He’s very quick and always wanting to get forward and the partnership with Bajrami was very pleasing on the eye. Tbh I thought everyone played well today. Was nice to see butland actually pull off some important saves finally. Hoping this is the start of us seeing some progression in the team like the manager said would happen by October as we have an important game in 5 days time. Pity I’m sure Jefte can’t play in that game cos of his red against dynamo. Shame as he is a player like.

What a signing Connor Barron is, at one point this 21 year old was telling 28 year old Robin Propper where to play the ball, his stamina is as good as any marathon runner, he reminds me very much of Barcelona Bear Alex MacDonald. Have got to also say John Soutter has been outstanding recently too, long may it last, it seems we're picking up a bit.

Jefte was immense but Barron was my man of the match. Dare I say it but do we have our new midfield enforcer? The boy was everywhere and loved him shouting and directing through the match 👏

Tbh like CJ Jefte was clearly man of the match, but I had another take away. That’s the best I’ve seen Dessers play he was really good. And maybe with better players around him you actually see a better Dessers. Bajrami is a baller and will probably be a heartbeat to our attacking play. Jefte is one of the best pieces of business we have done in years he is only 20 years old. 20 like wow- I love this guy, even the technique he has for clipping a ball into the penalty box. Clement does have a style btw it’s quite clearly fast transitional play. He just never had the players to do it. Now he has. I still don’t see us getting near Celtic this season, as I think we lack the dictator influence number 6 to compliment Barron. Diomande doesn’t do that for me. If this team had a year to Gel and the influential number 6 and a Bassey type defender then the league would become very, very interesting indeed. I actually think we will get there just get behind them and enjoy the ride in the meantime. Because if igamane turns into the player I suspect he will then we will be a murderous team. We just haven’t got all the components yet!

Problem is we can't afford to keep players who are playing well.The minute someone comes in with a substantial bid the board will sell. And to be honest that's the way it should be. We've been burned too many times over the last few years by hanging onto players too long instead of selling when their value is high. That's why we're where we are now. The most important thing for me is seeing progress. The boys are starting to understand what the manager wants and starting to merge into a unit. Some of the intricate passing, the step overs, and dummies will bamboozle a lot of low blocks and that is exactly what we were missing under GVB and Beale. We are going to get better as well so that is all very encouraging. The scenes after the Celtic game may have been rather unsavoury however when the dust settles it will let these players know how much it means to us.

It’s a REBUILD… there are likely to be bumps on the road, but generally, we’re moving in the right direction. To put it in more relevant terms… Future management changes need to have Clements’ approval (not the board’s) Best Football mind currently in Rangers Senior Management… build out from our strengths! Clement and Koppen have made the right decision in getting rid of ageing players in Lundstram and Barisic and bringing in youth in Barron and Jefte. Thought we should have had two penalties today but for some reason we got the lesser of the two offences. Jefte impressed me last week, he continued that this week and was really good, his connection with Bajrami was very promising. Barron again looked solid. Cerny looked good. Butland seemed to come back to form. I'm hopeful again.

The Tavernier question raises its head again! Last season on the right side the combination of Goldson and Tavernier cost us dearly. Goldson moving on reduced the problem, but Tavernier remains! We have better right backs on the staff, they need their turn. Change before we face Celtic again.

Me and my boys were in front section of main stand, midway between dugout and corner flag and in perfect position to watch Jefte(Zorro) and Bajrami in first half and liked what we saw in bits from Bajrami but Zorro was different class, strong, quick and CONFIDENT, which I think is the most important quality in a footballer, looks like he could run all day and too and ask for more, wee Barron has bags of energy and confidence too and I’m thinking Igamane could be better than both ! The future is looking good, just hope these kids can mount a challenge this season 💙😊

We have a lot of things to work out. We need a long term Tav solution but i fancy Sterling as a high energy destroyer alongside Barron because our old midfield consistently got overrun. Those two i think can compete. THEN the problem is can Cortes make the left side his own so Bejrami can be our 10, or do we persist with Lawrence/Dio, neither of whom have really dominated any game ever. It feels like we're close to a solution but just a few players short of it.

In the preview video for this game I gave what I HOPED would be the starting 11 and what I thought Clement's starting 11 would be. When it came to Clement's starting 11, I only got one wrong, he played Sterling in midfield. As I've just mentioned Sterling I'm going to start with him. I said to my daughter and son at the game that in the last few appearances by Sterling, he has been "looking a bit lost". So I fully agree with you CJ, we need to nail down his position and PLAY HIM THERE. That position is at Right Back and yes, Taverneir got a goal and an assist but that doesn't change anything for me. He was still easily beaten at times, he was still WALKING back when he should have been running, he was still playing some god awful passes and I'll say it again, he is not a LEADER. I don't like to see ANY Rangers player abused the way he was a couple of weeks ago. I would much rather they left the club with the best wishes of every Bear but I do get the frustration as we are all feeling it. He has not been playing well all YEAR and we can all see that he's not got it anymore. Taverneir fans would always say "but look at the goals and assists he brings to the team" but despite a goal and assist yesterday, those goals and assists have dried up and it is time to bring in the new era.....Sterling or Neray. I still think Clement is not thinking of the future and I'll give you some examples; when we were 2-0 up he should have taken Lawrence off, put Cortes on and moved Bajrami into the No 10 role so that we could all see what he brings to the table in that role, he should have taken Taverneir off and as he had already taken Sterling off, played Neray (thus giving him minutes under his belt), he could have taken Barron* off and brought on Raskin and he could have taken Dessers off and brought on Igamane**. Whilst he did make some of those substitutions, they came much later than they should have. There was however promising signs yesterday. I thought we moved the ball a lot quicker, I thought we looked for and played the type of passes you need to get through a packed defence, I thought there was some nice link up play and I thought you could see players getting used to each other, especially, as you point out CJ, the link up between Jefte*** and Bajrami**** which was great to see. You pointed out in the preview video that Dio seems to have stopped shooting when he has the chance and that was evident yesterday when he had quite a few chances but only had a shot with one of them. Surely he hasn't been told to 'stop shooting'???? I'm not getting carried away because despite us winning 2 games in a row, comfortably at that and 2 clean sheets in a row, there are still areas that we need to improve on, having said that, there are definitely positives to be taken from the game and at the end of the day, a win is a win and we need to get into the winning ways and with each win coincidence builds. I need to mention the Copland stand where our season tickets are for. The seats were FILTHY, there was dust EVERYWHERE, there was seats MISSING even although the club had sold tickets for those "seats". There was wires just hanging down on the wall. The people right at the back under the cantilever couldn't see the pitch properly. The disabled section under the cantilever also had a restricted view then you can throw in the flags etc being waved by the UB aiding in that restriction. I truly wonder if they spoke to disabled people when designing this? I thought they were going to put the disabled section up on the cantilever? Lastly, the concourse was really narrowed and with a full house it is going to be a nightmare. It all seems a bit 'rushed'. * I thought Connor Barron was fantastic yesterday. He was all over the park, playing great passes, moving into space and demanding the ball back. He gets my MOTM, followed by Jefte then Dessers just for that 2nd goal of his. An english lesson....lol. ** Igamane, I've been told the correct pronunciation of his surname is as you had previously pronounced it, as though there was a Y on the end, Igaman...Y. if you think of Sadio Mane (ex-Liverpool) his was pronounced as though it had a Y on the end but let's just call him Hamza lol. ***Jefte, the J in his name is pronounced as the S in 'pleasure' is so, if you like, Sefte but as you've nick named him Jeff, let's just stick with that lol. ****Bajrami, is DEFINITELY pronounced as BI-rami. As you've not nicknamed his yet CJ maybe just Nedim or Ned....(maybe not lol) or Baj.....

Game was okay, far too slow and going back far too much. Tav gave it away twice and they nearly scored twice. Referee was fucking honking. He's 10 feet away guy falls with 2 arms round dessers and it's their free kick? Same again later but he gives us the penalty. We need 2 upfront or a formation change. I thought Lawrence was good.

Genuinely feel like despite the goals and assists dessers and Tav were our two worst players, Tav could have cost us a goal or two up the other end, dessers should score the first goal first time and was lucky to get a second bite at it, took his 2nd goal well but otherwise done nothing, jefte was class, bajrami looks a class above, he was playing clever reverse passes that the rest of the team weren't clever enough to see/dessers and Lawrence towing caravans, proper had a solid if not outstanding game, igamane yet again looked great when he came on Starting to see things moving in the right direction but need to bin dessers and Tav ASAP They're both holding the rest of the team back

Mate your honestly bang on with this assessment. Totally agree. They get involved against the dreggs of the league then when it's most important they shit the bed. Problem with Dessers is he stands static in the build up play so the ball is forced out wide, just a big statue waiting for a tap in. I have honestly never seen Dessers take a ball into feet and turn and beat a man or two and create a half decent chance or creat chances for others. Igname was dropping deep into the hole and getting the rest of the team involved. Exactly what Kyogo does and we all know he would walk into our team in front of Dessers, even with a broken leg. We just look like robots with zero individual class in the final 3rd.

I am not going out of my way to find negatives, he has given the full fan base every reason to criticise him. End of last season in the title race he missed big chances when the goals really mattered and he collapsed. Let's stop happy clapping when he scores against the dross of the league. If you honestly believe Dessers is Rangers standard then that is your opinion which you are entitled to, but we are 5 points behind and scraping wins against Dundee UTD and Dessers was missing in all those games.
