I can only hope and pray that someone at Ibrox watches CJ and they ask Mr Clement to have a watch. CJ would be a great asset to the backroom staff at Ibrox.

Our centre halfs are clueless we can't have to many donkeys at the back ...As for soutter saying is was a bad night...he and propper aren't centre halfs...in Scotland they get away with it..but up against better team's they haven't a clue how to close down players...the team kept running away from the Lyon players... why did they keep doing this all night the third goal we had 3 players trying to mark 1 player.. unbelievable defending

Clement had no hesitation in removing Cantwell and setting an example of him. Yet he tolerates the likes of Cerny. His performance was horrendous but of course, unlike Cantwell, Cerny is one of Clement's signings.

Absolutely love Tav. I think he’s still got bags to offer however not at RB. But because we haven’t made that decision to, for example, move him into midfield earlier it does seem too late. I think Clement needs to make the decision on what happens with Tav sooner rather than later

We will be fighting for 2nd spot this season. Spurs on their game could easily take 5 off this dross. Frightening. Prolonging the inevitable with Clement. 🇬🇧🏴RFCno1🏴🇬🇧

I just dont think Clement is the man after all. He got a rise out them like previous managers. People had him down as the next Walter, hes not lacing walters brogues so far. We are 5 points behind both Celtic, and Aberdeen of all teams. Its obscene. And he is having a carry on playing Hagi. Clement needs to go if Averdeen beat us. I realise Celtic are our equals, but Aberdeen is a bridge too far. Why is Balogan always sitting on the bench.

I like Celtic but don't watch much unless its on sky sports..Celtic gifted dortmund goals also got out played..rangers missed a sitter that would have freaked lyon out if scored cerny..then barron absolutely atrocious gifting lyon that goal..what chance do Celtic rangers have in Europe with missing sitters & gifting goals..hearts got a win against a team with no fans.a wins a win tho..hibs hearts Motherwell need 2 start filling their stadiums..& stop cutting away allocation..the English our congratulating Aston villa for winning..Scottish fans supported dortmund & lyon..needs 2 change

I'm with you on this one CJ - I really don't want to be Tav-bashing because he's seen us through the dark days of Stranraer and Alloa Athletic up to the hight of Dortmund away, the Leipzig game and a major European final. However, I think what irks a lot of fans is the fact that he is COMPLETELY undroppable, makes no difference if he has a howler; he, we and everyone else knows that he will be first on the next teamsheet regardless of what's happened in the previous game. What kind of example is that setting to the young lads coming through the academy? I don't want to go into an 'in my day' rant, but if you put in a below-par performance under Walter Smith, then he would put the interests of the club first - the club comes before the individual and he stuck by that mantra. It really pains me to say it, because Tav is clearly a great guy and loves the club. You don't get to be a Rangers captain if you don't have something about you, but it doesn't take a genius to notice that as soon as Tav came off yesterday, Lyon shifted their attack from the right to the centre of the park. They specifically identified the right-hand side as the weakest point of the park and other teams have done the same - it is genuinely worrying that dafties like me can notice this, but the analytics team don't appear to notice it. As I say, I genuinely feel bad for Tav - love the guy and appreciate his role in the club's history, but something needs to change here. Sorry for the long rant, but I had to say it!

Last thought, even if Tav plays and responds on Sunday… SO WHAT! It’s St. J! Disrespect (at this point of the season) intended!
@I.B.Rox196218 сағат бұрын
Offside or not… 3rd goal should have been stopped. Hammer that ball on the sideline, before it’s passed (leading to the goal) worst thing that happens… they get a throw, and we reset defensively. Shocking!
@I.B.Rox196218 сағат бұрын
First goal… was a couple of nice moves, but Tav needs to trust Souttar (who had position). Tav left his man… who is then wide open for the goal… all to familiar.

I still think Cerny is capable (sitter aside), let’s see what he can do with Nana, before we panic. Tav is the issue and we all know it. The score at half flattered Lyon. A Barron error, followed by another Tav error (and a great finish) essentially ended the game. Thanks for your service Tav… no more waiting… outbound next transfer window for whatever we can get for him!

On top of the right hand side, which was beyond dreadful, we were miles off them. Their big number 19, didn’t have to break sweat against Dessers. We spent most of the game lumping the ball forward to a guy who couldn’t win one single challenge. 🤷♂️

If Cerny didn't miss that sitter, we would've done better at the minimum. We would've been a goal up with the stadium bouncing and as long as we didn't concede from kick off, Lyons heads would've dropped but instead we have the goal coming almost as a direct result of that miss then Conner Barron YET AGAIN, gives the ball away with a BLIND BACK PASS!!! WTF Man, that is schoolboy stuff. As bad as Cerny has been recently, there is definitely a player in there, he's getting in all the correct positions and getting shots off. He just needs to make the keeper work as that last night was the worst miss at Ibrox since Ricky Fosters miss against Valencia.

The left side was really good, but, I've said this a million times, we haven't had a potent right hand side since Candy left. Cerny was dreadful, Tav too. Major weakness. 💙💙💙

If Tav had left in the summer he'd have went with our best wish but now he's costing us nearly every game and he's just faltering his way to a testimonial pay day . Sad but true .😊
@grantwills663322 сағат бұрын
We're where we are because this board sat on their laurels after winning 55 . They didn't back Gerrard and he pissed off because of this . His team played a high press high intensity game which was good to watch . Since he left we've become boring and predictable and this won't change until there is a manager and board in place who actually want to invest and actually have a style of play which is non existent at present

Like yourself CJ i don't want to make it a Tav situation but the thing is it is a Tav situation now and its went on long enough n has to be said now as much as i love n respect the man n what he's done for us. until Tav's spot is completely took away we will continue to be weak n most teams will probably keep attacking our right hand side until its solved..imo.

How many times are we gonna watch the same mistakes being made..the right hand side of the team is literally nonexistent!! Not gonna go on about Cerny but the Tav situation is beyond feckin belief mate we’re getting battered down the same side every game. We cannot miss these chances at this level and Bijrami should be in the 10 he’s a touch of class 👍🇬🇧

I hope Bajrami's performances on the left dont hinder him getting a go in the No 10 position. Lets see him there please!
@alanmcnamara764323 сағат бұрын
So firstly I'm going to go back to what you said CJ, in that could Cerny's performances be down to the manager telling him to stop doing what he does naturally i.e. taking on and going by players, just to let Tav and his zimmer frame get by him? I thought about that, looked back at previous games and realised that is EXACTLY what was happening. I think the lad is devoid of confidence and looks lost in games. Now that doesn't excuse his miss or his low levels of energy in games but I do believe it is a part of the reason. Taverneir should not be on the pitch at all much less as long as he was last night. We could see after the first 10 minutes that Fofana was going to rip him apart and he did, OFTEN. I'm going to state now that I'm finished with Clement. His decision at halftime to put DOWEL on was bad enough but to play him and not Bajrami in the No 10 role was not just baffling, it was f*cking CRIMINAL. Bajrami was our most dangerous player from the wing, can you imagine the damage he would have done from his natural and preferred position? But no, Clement could not see THAT or see that Taverneir should not have been on the pitch. If at a club like ours he's not brave enough to make these calls then he doesn't deserve to be at our club. We looked stronger with Nana and Dujon on the right and yet, they haven't really played together!!!! But we all know the story, Clement will have Taverneir back at RB on Sunday evening because he's too cowardly to drop him. If ANY other player was playing as badly as Taverneir has done in EVERY GAME this season, they would be LUCKY to find themselves ON THE BENCH but Taverneir? I might take pelters for it but I said last week that Clement had BIG QUESTIONS to answer and he failed to do so, so I'm DONE WITH HIM.

Give cerny a right back who can actually help out with attacking OR defending, it doesn’t even need to be both, and you will see him do much better. Yes he’s playing poor and is missing sitters but he’s still miles better than matondo, mccausland from the start and dare i say, scott wright
@DavidG-u2k23 сағат бұрын
Our weak link is midfield, in particular Barron and the sooner the fanboys jump off the bandwagon the better. The wee boy is simply not good enough to be playing in the SPFL never mind Europe. He makes these mistakes in the league every game and gets away with it. Cost us two goals last night yet some folk will still manage to blame Tav. 🙄 Then there's Clement. The scoreline could've been anything because he just watched the goals going in and did nothing.
