As a Dundee supporter and I was at the match when Killie came back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 they have stamina, they were swarming all over us at the end, it looks like Killie have a good team and they will be safe Hearts and Hibs not so much, Rangers well no one in Scotland (apart from Rangers fans) sheds any tears for them but they are doing well for a team that has only been around for a few years.

I have no dog in the fight, I am not a fan of either side, I am German. I have something of a soft spot for Rangers, but I am not a "fan". They're a basket case of club now. The chasm between them and Celtic has never been wider. Even when Rangers were in the lower leagues, it was not as wide as it is now as Celtic had a weaker team. Celtic have strengthened and progressed year on year, on and off the field. They're a well run club with talent in every position. Rangers lurch from one crisis to the next and are a team of individual mercenaries from foreign second-tiers. The problem for Rangers is that if they dont arrest this widening chasm quickly, it will become insurmountable.

Too many fans don’t want to admit it, but a healthy league is one where everyone is competing to move up the ladder. Kilmarnock taking points and being competitive against one of the Old Firm shows that the league is becoming more competitive and making for a better SPFL. With the competitiveness in the lower divisions, we can hope Scottish football keeps going in the right direction.

I'm a St Johnstone fans since before their first post war promotion. I miss the days when the likes of Kilmarnock, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen, Motherwell and the Dundee clubs could have a go at winning something between them most years. Something changed with Jock Stein's Celtic years. I'm not sure what changed but the "smaller" clubs took a step back and have never recovered. Possibly too few teams in the Premiership doesn't help.

@@Wee_Langside, I’ve listened to a few proposals that would put the SPL into a Bundesliga-style model with 3 14-16 team divisions. I know that when trying to sell TV rights, which aren’t getting near enough exposure in my opinion, it’s the Old Firm derbies that get the viewers so broadcasters want as many of those games as possible. TV money will be what keeps Scottish football from growing to be the competition to the English Championship for foreign eyes and money.

@kevinmulligan9055 The population of The Netherlands is 6.5 million. Their premier league has 18 teams. They have a good record in Europe. Bulgaria 7 million with a 16 team Premier league. There are a number of nations with a population of around 10 million with around 16 - 22 team top divisions eg Czech Republic and Belgium. So population isn't the sole reason for success. My opinion is that from now until May next year 7 or 8 SPL teams will be trying to avoid finishing in the bottom 2 places and get into a cup final, 4 possibly 5 will be trying for Europe. That does not make for success at any level. It's virtually impossible to climb the ladder with any permanence of a decade stay in the top level. Of the current 12 only 3 have had more than 20 years continously playing in the SPL or equivalent Celtic, Aberdeen, and Motherwell.

He (crocker) got a text from a person he knows, who is a Rangers fan claiming he (Rangers fan) thought Rangers would drop points the day. What exactly is wrong with that? It's no like Crocker has any influence on the game and/or result, especially from benign opinions where a fan expects his team to ...lose!
