The Stock Screws are sockets, I think that they should be slots, if you are in the field and they come loose and you don't have the screw driver well that may be a problem, with slots you can tighten with almost anything. I think Stripper Clip feed should have been part of the package.

It's a proprietary .308 Win round made especially for the C-19 in General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systemsplants in Quebec. It's a 180 grain Nosler Accubond bullet, matched to existing Canadian Forces sniper brass (I believe it's Norma brass).

Lovely red easy to find in the snow, and happends to also be a national color for canada. The shorter barrel length, dose´nt it sacrifice accuracy at long distances?
@northernwolfdude5 жыл бұрын
these guns are carried for predator defense ie Polar Bears, Wolfs, Grizzlies, Black Bears so contact with those will be at shorter distances. ill put a optic on mine when the weather is nicer and see how it does stretched out to 300m.
@northernwolfdude5 жыл бұрын
the rifles are issued to the Ranger's for predator defense so long shots are typically not needed. that said i have not noticed any decrease in accuracy, i will ask at our next rifle qualifying to see if anyone has stretched their's out past 300-500.

@northernwolfdude3 жыл бұрын
i've never seen the civilian version so i can't speak to how it is or if there are any differences. i'd assume it's just a different colored stock like you mentioned.
@cs-rj8ru3 жыл бұрын
Civy version has uncle mikes sling studs. seems the very late guns have a blade front sight and somwhat improved rear sight. The biggest difference I've seen is that the Canadian C19 has an actual cocking piece that goes right through the shroud and you can see and feel it. (like for example a Mauser 98). The civy gun has the common tikka shroud with a tiny cast cocking indicator protruding below it. IF you ask me the Civy version is only 1/2 correct...???

Would you be able to make a video on how the Canadian Rangers set up their enfeild? Like the gear that was issued with them and how yall prepared them for the cold weather duty? I cant find any info on them outside of the articles talking about them being replaced.
@northernwolfdude3 жыл бұрын
hey there, so that question is probably better answered by someone who served 10-15-20 years ago because truth be told i was issued mine and i was never instructed anything with it for cold weather running. im sure that since we knew the C17 was coming down the pipe that they probably just let the training on the LE laps. mine was issued with a a beat up old red and green gun case and a sling and that was it, no cleaning kit, no oil no nothing. oh, and a couple boxes of ammo.
@jusportel10 ай бұрын
@@northernwolfdudethat’s all they ever got, a crappy C1 sling, and sometimes a pull through that wasn’t even the right one, I believe it was also for the C1. Some dim bulb came up with the idea of issuing multiple magazines in later years, instead of simply issuing chargers.

@@northernwolfdude it is my understanding that the individual Rangers can hunt with there rifles. Are Rangers given a rifle to own personally? Do they get the rifle when they retire. Will each Ranger always use the exact same rifle? Could you explain the ownership of the rifles and how and when Rangers get to possess the rifles? Thank you and Best Wishes from Montana M.H
@northernwolfdude Жыл бұрын
@@mikehagan4320 you are issued a rifle and must present it for inspection on every training night and when asked to do so (so they can make sure you actually have it). you are also issued 200 rounds of ammo. you are allowed to use the rifle when not on patrol for hunting. if you choose to put an optic on it you do so on your own dime and it must come off whenever you do a training or qualifying with your rifle. you do not get to keep the rifle when you retire. we DID however have the option to keep our Lee Enfield 303 Rifle when they retired those from service, you were given the option to keep the one that was issued to you which i did keep. Keep in mind that every Ranger Patrol is a little different, so how things are done in Alberta may differ from how things are done in Quebec. I can only speak to how things where done in the 4th when i was with them.
