Koppen is probably the only one on the board that is an asset to us. He's got a vision in mind and knows what it will take to get to it. Looking forward to the next couple of windows to see his plan come to fruition.

On Souttar... he had two good int'l games... was solid against both Portugal and Croatia. He's been improving rapidly at right centre back (his correct position). So much easier to play right side when right footed... force the attacker towards the outside then tackle with the right foot. Tackling right-footed on left side is where he got burnt several times last season... and he's looking way more comfortable in the air. Tav is still the issue... Nana should be starting, with Sterling as the second right back (unless, of course, he outshines Nana, then vice versa)

Well done Stevie today, you seemed a bit brighter. That was much more professional. You seemed more your usual self and engaged. All good and always good to have you on. Cortes has been unlucky, Danilo as well. They should be brought back when fully ready. No rushing. That said over the last decade we have signed players who have had previously available and known records of repeated problems. That is on the decision makers and medical team at the club.

Great article from Joshua and refreshing transparency from Koppen. Probably too much for the Board’s liking. Only alarm bell is assuming we now have a ‘style’ to fall back on. Not seen that so far. And if it relies on literally mindless ‘automatism’ for a particular manager’s style, not exactly ideal for the next gaffer through the door!
@I.B.Rox19625 күн бұрын
Hopefully we take all points available, through Aberdeen... but if we're going to draw/lose one, I hope it's the Europa match. Cup final and maximum points in the league are desperately needed. For me, Clement needs more time, at least 2 more transfer windows. ... if we chase him out of the door, before then, Kopek is likely to go as well. If we let them finish the rebuild then, if Clement isn't the man, at least we've got a decent base for the next manager.

Good discussions today guys and very measured chat from Stevie about the managers year so far, interesting though how we can on one hand (Derek) one week shout just stick them in a game, why has the manager left so and so out ! If he’s ready and on the bench then play him and on hindsight on Oscar you want to know if he was ready to go in the game. Just something to acknowledge Derek as you’ve been trolling the manager on these things. Also you said why did we sign Cortes but I bet you any money you would have taken sima back on a permanent deal and he was out for ages.

Cortez seems to be with us for a few years so we can afford to be patient to recuprate him to get him back to his best.

Derek has not been trolling anyone. Do you even know what trolling is? Because by saying Derek is trolling anyone, I don't think you have a grasp on what it means. Criticism is not trolling, opinion sharing is not trolling. Derek has not abused anyone as a troll. Poor take there buddy. I am guessing that was likely not what you intended?

@@rangersnuttrolling is not just about abuse mate, look it up if you don’t believe me, it may not be the exact and best use of words and I can also be guilty of being a troll from time to time. But my points still stands, every time the manager makes a decision in recent times he seems to be on his back and criticising with hindsight. Anyway who are you ? His hairdresser? His we chum ? Or just Derek with a troll account.

Age has got nothing to do with Tav's performances, he is only 32. It is clear that Tav is still suffering from missing pre-season, through injury, and he may still be short of match fitness, which he can only get through a run of games. This seems to be Phil's reasonable strategy. The better question may be whether Tav should be moved forward to RHS forward, with Cerny moving over to the LHS or Cerny rotating with Bajrami and Tom Lawrence as our No.10, in some games or at certain points in games to make the difference. In balance, would moved Tav to RHS forward utilise his skills more for the benefit of the team, together with moving Cerny to the LHS, and strengthening the RHS fullback by adding Dujon or Nanna? If so, I believe that Tav would make 5 or 6 more crosses into the box than Cerny does, which would mean that if Cyriel makes more runs to the near post, it will mean more goals, with the added bonus that when the play develops on the LHS, Tav becomes our second striker at the back post, which again, forces Dessers to make the crucial front post run, which is the hallmark of a good striker.
@rangersnut6 күн бұрын
Tav is not a RW. RB and LB are different to other positions. It requires massive athleticism and pace. Tav is almost 33 years old. His pace is leaving him. His defensive decision making has been way off as well. How many times are we going to watch Tav leave the back door open for Celtic to smash us down his side? They know where to target. Cerny needs to show a run of form at RW. His last outing was better, but until he has been doing it week in, week out I will wait to fully judge.
