I can't believe the military relies on GPS to call in art. when spoofing GPS is going to be the norm. It's not that difficult to call in a 10 digit coordinate to put rounds on target. People get lazy when that relies on things like GPS

I agree the Fanny/waist pack is making a come back. I’ve always like wearing them, wore them all the time on the 80’s and 90’s. My wife made fun of me wearing them a few years ago, said they were out of style, so I’m glad they are back. I’m older and like to travel lite with my essentials. I keep a rucksack pack if I need it but the fanny pack works great for walking, hiking, recon etc., thanks Andrew, I always enjoy and learn from your videos

Fanny bags!? Wow! Thought I'd seen the last of them! Still a big fan even to today! However, I recently bought myself a military grade sling bag! Haven't looked back since! She's a little heavy due to my personal customisation, but in the event of an extreme emergency, crisis or disaster I can just pick that bag up, attach it to my body and walk out through the front door. I bought a retractable baton-holster and repurposed it to hold a star flashlight. That item, fits beautifully on the front strap of the bag, there is also a waist pouch that I bought superately, in that, I have seasoned wood wood fire extenders and a bellows, and attached to the very same waist pouch is of course my multi tool wouldn't leave the home without it. Why Seasoned wood? Well, I've equipped the sling bag with a wood stove and because the wood is seasoned it produces very little smoke so I can reduce my signature and location on my first couple of days/nights out in the bush. I also have managed to attach a folding wood saw for processing, a folding knife and many other items including face paint and a water purification kit. Like I said previously, I haven't looked back, I strongly recommend that you check this litte beauty out. End.

Nice!! The fanny pack is back! I've been using one for about 5 years now as a truck-gun supply holder. Grab your gun, strap your stylin fanny pack on, and wear your get home bag. GTG. Also, I just didn't want to give up the 90s, so there's that.... Cheers from Alberta!!

I've been working on developing muscle memory with a Mossberg I recently picked up. Adding a few 12GA shells, slugs or 00, is a great suggestion to include with your, " Soldiers Always Carry These Survival Tools in the Field! " video. I carried extra AAA's in AA sleeve adapters. Maybe adding package of Quikclot Combat gauze to compliment the CAT and cravat and skipping the space blanket.

A few weeks ago I got a pack of Altoids Smalls and thought that is would be a great video on what you would put in a mini mini survival kit what will fit anywhere. I would love to see what you would put in. If you could only have one survival book what would you chose. What do you think of Life Straws. Great video.

not for nothin' Joe Rogan carries a fanny pack with his EDC in it. it gave me the idea to get a small 1 strap backpack from amazon and fill it with EDC items that I didnt want in, or have room for in my pockets. its kind of a middle ground between "bug out bag" and whats in my pockets. water bottles, snacks, flashlight, tools, bandages... an easy kit to grab and carry to the truck. not tactical but practical.

I had/have the old butt pack that goes on the pistol belt from the old LBE. It's bigger and probably not as easy to get into but served it's purpose. About the only multi tool we had was the Swiss army knife. The Leatherman didn't come out until after I got out but I did get one when they did. The modern Leatherman is much better than the original. I like the wave. I tell you there have been many great improvements in survival gear over the years. I like the fact that drive on rags are still being used. Do you have room for a pen gun flare or do you carry it somewhere else?

Does an ALICE size belt fit through the belt sleeve? It's unclear in the Amazon specs. If I don't have to use 'another strap' on my kit I'll get one! I find most of the belt straps on waist bags lack the ability to keep the bag in place while moving aggressively. Attached to a stiff web belt does the trick.
@RangerSurvivalandFieldCraft5 сағат бұрын
I think it would. The opening of the belt compartment on the pack is four fingers tall at the openings.
