Nice firearm selection. I would like to own SVT 40, but i have heard that they are quite problematic, especially the magazines causing the problems if they are not matched to the rifle- I have seen a few for sale in local market- what is Your experience with the rifle? Thanks for the video.

Hit and miss, every SVT40 is a unique snowflake and the mags hate you and will make your day shitty. Still a nice piece of history. Not accurate at all and a lot of fun for anyone interested in history.

Thanks for the opinion. Seems that soviets had problems with magazines being interchangeable between the firearms till the postwar period except for the TT-33 and PPS42/43 maybe, here the most common magazines You can find on battlefields is from PPSH-41 and most of the time they are disassembled. The SVT-40 sure does look nice, and in fact the ammo is available unlike the 7.62x39. @

@@karamelles98 I would just get an SVD instead, it is also cool and a more interesting piece of history imo. Mags work fine on that one (still not very good accuracy, but that is mainly an ammo and rifling issue).

I had seen a few SVD commercial variants the Tigr pop up from time to time- and had also thought about buying either Tigr or SVT-40, but I guess I will look for SVD variant then.@

Don't know what happened with the magazine, but the misfires were probably caused by the ammo not being strong enough to cycle the rifle on the current gas setting. Every shot I took with it went flawlessly. From my experience, as soon as someone wants to shoot your firearm, there will be misfires! 😆 In which country are you based? I want 7,62x54r but cannot find it!

The last time I shot an SVT it was quite awkward, I guess I have tiny hands. Tom Andres Mk18 is a real beauty, especially with that brake. An AUG, well it is almost Christmas time so.... Either that or an MP5. HOHOHO

Yeah, I know. But the semafor is behind a locked door. Yes, I have complained about this to the people handling the range.... Anyway, the range is in a cordoned off military exercise field. No one is there, lots of UXO in the ground and no mil exercise was ongoing so 0 chance of anyone being in the area.

Hej, nej, det är någon fancy 2 komponents keramisk färg gjort av ett företag (SCR) som specialiserat sig på saken. Jag brukar bara spraya mina med vad jag nu har över :D

Hej du råkar inte veta hur det ligger till om man beställer ljuddämpare och magasin utomlands? Ingen säljer AUG waffle mags eller steyrs dämpare i Sverige. Tullen skickar en till Polisen och Polisen skickar en till tullen.

De kan inte reglerna någon av dem verkar det som. Polisen.se ska ha instruktioner på detta.

Är inte hålet i "charging handlen" till för att man ska kunna stoppa i en patron för bättre grepp?

Ingen aning faktiskt. Vanligtvis om man inte kan manövrera "charging handle" på en AR typ av vapen så granatar man den, dvs håller i den med bakåttryck, sen bumpar man kolven i backen.
