Connections was too hard for me. Never heard of a hero bread and never knew what are the slangs for mouth😂 On the other hand strands was easy for me because gold is my first word. Thanks for the puzzles!

I failed Connections and had to use TWO hints on Strands. Also had to Google a handful of clues for the full crossword... Rough day, man.

I thought Strands was difficult and I finally took a hint after I had only 2 words left, BISMUTH and ARSENIC. I should have been able to get them but was tired of trying to made 2 words

It's strange to read how many people, not just on your site, found Strands really difficult today. I'm no genius at it by any means, but I figured out the clue as soon as I saw it. I started looking for things that are mined. I didn't know that Bismuth or Antimony were 😊, but I recognised the words. Gold led to silver and copper. Like you, I'll work at a puzzle for ages and haven't taken a hint since I can't remember when. I don't like it when people say a puzzle, whichever one, was easy. Because it can be a bit flattening for players who couldn't get the correct answers. So today I'll say, it was easy(ish) for me. 😊 Btw, did you notice that the Spangram was shaped like a shovel? Vaguely. 😂

Good job completing that difficult Connections. I didn't. Nice Mini. I was slower at 2:05. What a tough Strands. I count this as a loss for me: this was the first time in history that I had to use a clue. I saw HOLE immediately but I couldn't see anything else you could dig, such as a ditch, a tunnel, a canal or a mine. I also considered genres of performance arts that you could really dig, to no avail.

I haven't heard of hero as a bread, but some comments on other videos said that "hero" is a regional pronunciation of gyro (which I also don't consider a bread).

It's unrelated to gyro. The name of the long sandwich differs in different regions. Depending on region it'll be called a sub, grinder, hoagie, or hero. I suppose hero can also refer to the bread used for that sandwhich.
