Tough Connections. You got twice as many groups than I did. Good Saturday Mini. My time was 1:52. Fine Strands. LOL, Sam's essence is different from mine. I'm a simple man; I only need food, drink, shelter and love. I took four hints. Eucalyptus is not bad though. I know you like cough drops. My favoroite flavor is Honee's honey lemon menthol eucalyptus. They are available at WinCo Foods and other fine grocery stores.

I made one mistake putting Apple of Discord in with Pandora's Box, Hornet's Nest & Minefield. But then I got purple 2nd after staring at it for awhile. I didn't quite get the Greek myths category, I just put them together as a guess because they seemed like something from stories. I actually thought the Apple of Discord might be referring to the Garden of Eden. I hated Strands today. I had to use 3 hints, including double hinting on PATCHOULI at the end it because I had no idea what it was.

I had no idea about Strands until I saw CEDAR and thought of essential oils, at which point I thought of EUCALYPTUS, and then I was very confused when CEDAR didn't lock in.

I got the yellow category and then I put the purple category together but I didn’t think that was it so I didn’t submit it 😢. I could have been in the 1% today

I got connections on the last try but it was mostly luck. I didn't understand the last category until i saw the answer

I only knew the figurative meaning of aegis: "sponsorship or protection; auspices (esp in the phrase under the aegis of)." Managed to get it in the right category by its looks alone.

Solved Connections with 2 errors; got purple second. I had use one hint for Strands. I had a carousel motion with patchouli.

One of my better performances on Connections - No mistakes _and_ knew what the fourth category was before it told me. Only slight stretch for me was putting Aegis (which I'm more familiar with as a term that sometimes pops up in fantasy stories) in with Greek Myth, knowing that everything else was from Greek Myth. An "Is the origin of that term Greek myth?" kind of thing. IIRC Rumplestiltskin weaves straw into gold in exchange for your first born, but you can get out of paying if you can successfully guess his name.
