The second stepwell video of the day. The Rani Ki Vav (Queens Stpwell) is an astounding work of craftmanship an architecture coming from about 1,000 years ago.. It is located in Patan in Gujarat, India. Silted over, it was rediscovered in 1940s and restored in 1980s by the Archaeological Survey of India. It has been listed as one of UNESCO's World Heritage Sites since 2014.
en.wikipedia.o...
"Udayamati, the daughter of Naravaraha Khangara, built this novel stepwell at Shripattana (Patan) surpassing the glory of the Sahastralinga Tank". According to it, the stepwell was commissioned in 1063 and was completed after 20 years. It is generally assumed that it was built in the memory of Bhima I (r. c. 1022 - 1064) by his queen Udayamati and probably completed by Udayamati and Karna after his death but the view, whether she was a widow when she commissioned it, is disputed. Commissariat puts the date of construction to 1032 based on the architectural similarity to Vimalavasahi temple on Mount Abu built in the same year

What makes you think that is a well? Honest question. I don’t have the answer but I don’t believe a well would need that much detail if the purpose is to gather water.

Ancient India is outright astonishing! How in tha hail did they do that?!? I can’t fathom the idea that human hands were responsible for such precision all while duplicating the exact same things over and over again yet they stay consistent throughout the same design. The uniformity and sheer number of these sites tells me that there’s something missing here in terms of their historical narrative. Or maybe that the myths and legends surrounds sites like this should be taken more literally... i don’t know fapps.... India’s pretty cool!

@Drew B. - Our comprehension reaches a failing point when comparing those responsible for these awe inspiring architectural accomplishments in relation to our present cultural standards. What prevails as modern culture has individuated people and our productive energy is lessened and regulated by cyclical commercial ritual; there is no longer any great uplifting civilizing intention for the population. We stand at the threshold of a scientific dark age misguided by psychopaths and wealthy children who entertain only the wants of their own private reality. People such as this confuse cruelty with cunning and their instincts are ugly and mishandled. Those responsible for these works were clearly in tune and devoted to the highest order of human accomplishment. The best of humanity has come and gone. Things have been so simplified and degraded over the aeons that it is rare that a person even makes the grade as a human being let alone accomplishes an immense panoramic genius capable of articulating an extreme emotional and physical balance witnessed in a manner of construction such as this. Love, despair, gratitude and perseverance are needed to reclaim anything of this spirit at all.

Mind blown! When I see the intricate beauty of this and others like Angkor Wat and Kailasa my brain just doesn’t assimilate in the lamestream hypothesis that they were created with chisels and hammers. Incredibly beautiful. I wish I could tap into the akashic records or get a good deal on a time machine. That would be cool. Thanks again for another great video! Peace and blessings

Form much more important than function ? It seems an amazing amount of effort to include this amount of carving and detail in a water source (important though that is) and perhaps suggests that this was secondary to it's prime function ? Carvings of Hybrid beings as well ? Fascinating and another great share. Thank you.
