Yes, but DW8 is a continuation of DW7. 6 didn't ruin 90% of characters like you said. It gave them deep philosophical stories. 7 ruined the characters, and 8 followed 7. 9 is not the same as 7 and 8, because it is different. 9 had good cutscenes for the characters with many human moments. The characters in 9 are more fleshed out. So no, not the same for 9. They have their strengths and weaknesses.
