Not rare... thyagaraja swami has sung siva pancharatna krithi and also his name itself.was of Lord Siva and rama namam is a namam of Shiva..it existed before Rama (parasu raama was named Rama with a Axe is an avatar before Rama) Rama is a siva namam which dasarathar has kept for his son
