Ningen Isu, a legendary heavy metal band from Japan. Some people say that they are the Japanese Black Sabbath.

These guys have been around for like 30 years, without making it big. They barely survived, living in tiny one room apartments, etc. But they kept playing their music. Now that the west has discovered Japanese metal, they are finally getting the recognition that they deserve. Couldn't be happier for them; they've certainly paid their dues.

NINGEN ISU is a Japanese heavy metal band from Hirosaki, formed in 1987 by Shinji Wajima (guitars and vocal) and Ken-ichi Suzuki (bass and vocal). They took their name from the 1924 short story of the same name by Edogawa Rampo.

I which you has turned on CC. Do that now and you will see an English translation of the wonderful lyrics about an old man’s perspective on life. The bassist is dressed like a Japanese ghost or demon, the drummer like a “Chimpira,” street-level Yakuza, and the guitarist is wearing a fine kimono like a scholar. Look for old live videos from the 80’s and 90’s. They started filing this video on an icy cold video at 4:00am. The guitarist says that his cold stiff fingers made it hard to play the solos. Try these other recent videos: Toshishun and (the) Color From Out of Space

hey look old, but they are still in their 50s.
@DoubleMonoLR2 жыл бұрын
@@oioioityan124 Just barely, from memory they're all around 59 years old. Calling it an 'old mans' perspective in the original comment is a bit extreme though.

On the look. Shinji Wajima (guitar/vox) is dressed as a meiji era (1868-1912) literary master. Kenichi Suzuki on bass is dressed as a demonic monk. Nobu Nakajima on drums is dressed in a Yakuza gangster style.. it's a bit like the "teddy boy" look They have an ocean of amazing songs! \m/

The effect you hear on the vocal when they are in the cave, is a double or triple tracked vocal. It's to thicken it up and add color. The variance in pitch between the different takes, creates a subtle "chorus" effect which creates the color.

This band has been around for a long time. They came before X-Japan. They originally had heavy metal songs similar to Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, but nowadays they have a very heavy music style. up to the era
