This is purely because JGLS provides high-quality legal education which is now comparable to global standards. If you wish to have the best facilities and highest quality then naturally you shall have to pay a certain service fee. Not to forget, around 50% of JGLS students are on a scholarship/ fee concession.

30 lacs is no big deal in 2020. Even our annual family income is easily 38/40 lacs . Still, i am trying for the prestigious post of Judicial Magistrate.. When you r well of already, you try for the prestigious posts and power. Power trumps money in most cases.

Bare act is available in few states only..and you don't have time to look into the bare acts. As paper are always lengthy

No 🚫Only Delhi Judiciary provide bare acts in India🤚 bcz the Questions are extremely difficult & case laws based. Despite bare act, you won't be able to answer any questions. So try to memorise so that it will be easy for u to apply those law provision in those 3 hrs.

First get a rank in UPSC then say that you chose state judiciary over civils. It''s like saying I chose Shivalik hills over Mount Everest because of XYZ. State judicial officers are not even proper judges, they are sub-judges.

Competition in UPSC is 1000 times than any judicial services in India. Don''t brag about choosing Judicial service over civil service. Toppers of LLB from DU are sitting in old rajendra nagar preparing for civil services despite clearing may state judicial service exams. Anyone with a few months of preparation can pass state judicial exam. My 2 brothers attempted UPSC 5 times but couldn't get IAS and both had to settle as judge in Haryana by easily clearing state judicial exam. UPSC>>>>>>state judiciary, Only the yet to come IJS (Indian Judicial Service) can be equivalent as it shall also be an all india service of same status as that of IAS and IPS.

Judicial service requires an extra 3 year llb degree. Upsc doesn't. Also why would anyone choose upsc if he or she has no interest in being in the executive . Okay troll?
