bard with the right perks and purple drums can deal 100dmg headshots and reload/swap to another drum faster than reloading a crossbow or swinging a heavy weapon... genuinely if played perfectly with high APM to keep yourself buffed and enemies weakened with flute, drum bard build is probably the highest DPS possible in the game as long as you have good aim and hit all headshots...

Well, there are like 4 or 5 buffs that hold 2 mins if you execute perfect performance and another 2 that hold like 8-9 secs that you buff right before you fight. Once you get the muscle memory down its kind of second nature, at some point you even stop looking at the notes and just go by sound.

you also need to find your drums yourself. when your viewers sell you/gift you gear so you don't have to slog through trade chat yourself it's a lot easier to get a build going lol.

@@GoblinUrNuts Well, it doesnt take that long really, you can fully buff in about 15 seconds if you nail down the rotation and have the noteskip perk. Even faster if you have more knowledge for casting speed and if you have more will then the buffs are longer also, and they hold for 2 mins, youll just have to stop every now and then. Altho Bard is not a class many want to play but he is necessary for every comp pretty much right now, the buffs are too good. And you dont sit around necessarily, you can move, jump crouch as you do it if youre sure the area is mostly safe, you can even open locked chests and if the are close to each other open like 5 with a song and you compensate for the tiny amount of time youve lost buffing.

I thought bard would be kinda weak solo as it's more of a dps/support hybrid that always announces it's position; but the idea of being able to have so much move speed and spam drums on rogues when you din them is brilliant. There being so many rogues in solo HR is why I don't play it unless I play rogue; and then it ends up being rogue v rogue all day which is too volatile to actually make plays. Bard having the tools to counter rogues and wizards in this way isn't something I thought of. Insanely good game play, thank you.

I have a few questions of your gear. . .IF anyone can answer it would be very helpful. Why don't you use the Falchion when it comes to strong weapons? Why is it that you don't have Regal Gambeson since it gives more defense? (This question also comboes into other gear that gives more armor like the Heavy Pants instead of bardic ones) Which songs do you use? That's mostly it, thank you for your time

Falchion swing animation and speed is bad and the damage difference isn't big enough to run it over arming sword anymore. And the armor thing is just move speed. Those pieces give more AR but less movespeed. MS in this game is crucial

Like Mark said falchion got a bad swing animation and speed, makes it more predictable for enemies too, like blocking with shield, making you hit arms or hugging a wall so you hit that instead. I think the best gear setup is high PDR with regal and a ton of agility to stay fast still, but not really worth it unless you get quite a lot of % PDR. My favourite set I used so far I had 50% reduction without my buckler out (57% with) and could still outrun most people, died to a literal wall though.. like the moving walls that do around 10 damage :') For songs: i.imgur.com/lCeDsbQ.png Invis one can be swapped out, but nice to stay hidden in lobby and has it's moments in game like forcing a bunch of mobs on a tanky fighter :)

I think that drum needs a hard nerf... but maybe in a way that still destroys rogues. Like it has a armor interaction that deducts direct damage so it does little to fighters and armored barbs but still trucks clothies that have decent movement speed.
