Same, watching this video in 2023 feels weird. His Q could hit multiple enemies, his E dealt damage to minions, he was way faster on his W, his Ult not only gave enough gold for him to finish build before everyone else and be still useful before late game arrived, but it also actually dealt damage besides just executing, it was viable using it for closing gaps instead of just saving it for taking the scraps after teamfights from midgame onwards. They really butchered Pyke into oblivion and removed most of his tactics and plays, he's barely unique now.

I've trying do Pyke Mid in this season, and it's almost impossible. You can't do anything against mages without your jungler, it's kinda sad. I reached Gold first time with Pyke and Kayn Mid, now im main Talon on Diamond, good old days
