But in the bio for the black rose Kata skin it’s very likely they swain sent her to kill that guy which is all established in the kata comic where they make this arrangement with swain so that she can operate in the shadows and if needed even kill him

@nikolainedkov4878 Okay, I'll try to explain my point of view. Arcane's actions take place in the past relative to the current lore of the game, and accordingly, the entire plot of Mel with the Black Rose. In the cinematic, this story is obviously a continuation. Even Darius is young here and, it seems, leads the first invasion of the Freljord. LeBlanc is watching all this, as well as the battle between Katarina and Elise. It would be logical to assume that it also takes place in the past, and then Katarina could have been hired by anyone. On the other hand, we saw Swain's raven in Arcane... so I have 3 explanations in my head: only the battle between Katarina and Elise takes place in the present, Raum has not yet met Swain and is acting on his own, or the Riot have rewritten their lore somewhere else (again 😔)

I think they're saving Swain for a later cinematic, because my theory is that in the Noxus series, Swain isn't grand general yet. Since Darius looks younger than usual and based on his fight with Trundle, he's around Freljord, his last campaign before returning to Noxus and join Swain's revolt. Also, it seems like Leb and Vlad are calling the shots unopposed so maybe the series will explore Swain's rise to power.

The reason why swain isnt in the cinematic might be they have bigger projects for him, like making him a protagonist or main villain. Trust the process generals, we are going to get sonething huge

Protagonist Swain would be too based of a choice, even for the animation team. The protag sadly _has_ to be a plucky underdog of some sort, not a grizzled and impassive actor like Swain.

If thats true swain still has no control on the demon since he loses his arm fighting in ionia, and the 3 eyed crow we see in arcane finale is raum still under the control of the black rose

From what I've seen on several League of Legends lore channels, everything that happens in this cinematic takes place before Swain's coup against Boram Darkwill. Based on the latest scenes from Arcane, where the raven observes everything happening in Piltover, it’s highly likely that Swain already has the power of the Demon of Secrets in his hands, since he had been sent on a mission, and in reality, the Black Rose wanted to eliminate him.

hey i have news, so in the current timeline the ionia invasion hasn't happened yet, so swain isn't yet with raum, we are gonna see politician crippled swain probably and mid way in the series we get the invasion of ionia, so the crow we saw in arcane wasn't swain, but raum it self, very hyped for the upcoming series can see my favorite characters in action
