35:30 might be THE MOST perfect save I have ever seen. What incredible talent.

With the discussion about using L2 for directional air roll it's worth noting that braking/accelerating in mid-air does affect speed slightly, it's possible that the slight braking effect is making it easier to stay close to the ball on flip resets/air dribbles.

@antonlauritsen9041 Жыл бұрын
I agree that plan B is not a very good name for the shot, but there is No way a player takes the Ball into the air with the intent to let it drop slowly to the ground to then “plan b” over the opponent. The reason its called “plan B” is cause you take it into the air, for an air dribble or reset or whatever. Then If you fail to get enough height on the Ball, the only reliable option is to get a touch, before the opponent, by bouncing back up into it, If the Ball is too low to flip reset or air dribble.
@cousinpatsey2471 Жыл бұрын
There is very much a reason to do it though. And your post is exactly why: some players can't see it as the main thing, so they position to defend against the "more obvious" play. It's a huge mindgame. If you think Dark (or someone like him) hasn't gone into the air with that shot as his explicit intention, I don't think you're watching him.

As a watcher I'm torn. Cosmic played well, but his play style is frustrating to watch. I actively don't want his plays to work out for him because none of his focus includes "putting on a show". Keep in mind this is a showmatch, not a money match or tournament. Pride is all that is on the line, but winning with such a large percentage of rat tactics feels bad. Unfortunately, some of the highest percentage plays in 1v1 are BORING. So when people dislike Cosmic, it isn't because he's bad. It's because of how he decides to be "good". Extremely lame gameplay; gg Cosmic you ratted your way into a W over someone who is actually fun to watch.
@morganbaker9721 Жыл бұрын
Slight issue with saying “pride” is the only thing on the line If he debuts poorly and gets absolutely destroyed the chance he gets another show match on Johnnys channel will be much lower in future compared to other people so he needs to put on a show Also you saying it’s not fun to watch shows you were looking at some of the crazy movements he used such as a flick at around 31:00 where he used a wave dash into an instant flick at point blank then read a bar down to put it in all at supersonic without slowing down It’s not cringe or boring it’s a classic play style similar to Okhalid and Fairy Peak

@morganbaker9721 ill agree, since it's his first showmatch maybe that's a valid excuse.
