when i was a kid it was everyone but 7 kids puts their head down with a thumb up, and the 7 people go around and push people's thumbs down and you have to guess who put your thumb down. if you were right you were the person that picked someone in the next round

That heads up 7 Up moment is SO real to me, because when my bullies manipulated me into playing ("yay someone wants to play with me after all!") they would make up these rules where I got pushed over or punched and I only realized years later... I just made myself sad.

I used to play heads down thumbs up in school and there’d be three people and they’d each pick someone to squeeze or tap their thumb and then you’d put your thumb down and then you had to choose who you think picked you when you looked up again
