Man, this company was a fricking empire in the animation industry. I really wondered what happened.

What happend was that 1987, the studio was closed to due it's TV shows being failures like The Comic Strip. The partnership was dissolved in 2001 after it's final production; Santa, Baby!.

It's library is now split between DreamWorks Animation (pre-1974) and Warner Bros. Pictures (post-1974)

True confession: Whenever one of their holiday specials airs on TV, I have the classic ‘70s bumper cued up on my phone to play at the very end. It just seems incomplete without it. RB and their logo are as much a part of Christmas as candy canes and holly.
