In Nusfjord, try using all the Elders randomized for more variability and not just the first 7. Not supposed to do so from the rules, but made the solo much more fun in the long run for me.

The end is here! I'm excited to watch later this evening, I've been back on a huge Uwe kick the last month or so after finally getting Ora et Labora and really loving its solo mode. Congrats on finishing the project!

This was great, thank you! I’ve also enjoyed the play throughs I’ve seen. I would add that Le Havre is fun solo as well. I prefer it 2 player, but it has a really nice build to it.

As an Uwe Rosenberg fan, I am always happy to see these kinds of lists! Thanks, Rhiannon!

Hallertau gives the players lots of fun little interactions. Goals cards to go after. Moving resources around. Planting and harvesting fields. All the good Uwe mechanics but in small doses.

Thanks for the effort you put into these videos, much appreciated. I would like to say about your presenations, 1) you are well spoken, 2) you know your materials, 3) you do not get overly involved with your personal life (not to knock doing so of course) and therefore the videos are light on your viewers. There are more things I like, cadence of your voice, and those uh, coffee mugs or beer mugs or...dracula's chalices dangling from your ears! I main point I would like to make is: You are the subject matter expert here. Don't feel you should qualify as "your opinion" what you present! We know what you are doing, it's like others in the media so no ice breaking offenses or misguiding will happen. Start asserting and keep asserting through the entire video, showing strength of thought does not diminish the perception of the heart... :D

What a fun and cool ranking, thanks for making it! I absolutely love Uwe Rosenberg games. I totally vibe with your reasons for having the top solo games being which they are. The only big difference is what I think of Oranienburger Kanal. For me, the gameplay and the amount of cards making it so re playable makes this game shine a lot, even though I totally agree it ain't good-looking. I think you might like Uwe's tile laying games like the Cottage garden trilogy and New York Zoo quite a bit, if you haven't played them.

Loved this. Any chance you could do a similar series with the garphill games?

I second this! Great idea

Just the Philips/McDonalds games, or also e.g. Hadrian’s Wall? Seems like a huge task … but I’m here for it.

A new edition of Loyang should be coming next year, but it's not looking like a straight reprint, so I'm a little anxious about any mechanical changes they might make. A BGG thread has an image of the new cover art

The warm light on the right side of your face was a great choice, really warms up the scene. It tends to look a little more natural if the light comes from the front and slightly above. Using a warm/cool color separation between the foreground and background is a simple tool for lighting. Just a very pale blue (dog) cast on the shelves in the background with a warm light on you should really make it pop. Don't mean to tell you how to do your thing, just an old fart lighting designer who can't help offer unsolicited advice! Godspeed with the continued growth and hope you are having fun.

At the Gates of Loyang deserves the ranking. Hopefully it gets a reprint, sooner rather than later so newer gamers can experience it.

Eughh yes I really hope so too. I'm so surprised it doesn't get spoken about more.

I’m getting Black Forest this week. I hope this “fixes” Glass Road for me, since I liked everything in that game except the card action selection system. In theory, worker placement spots should work better for solo play. We’ll see.

Always a tough list to make! Makes me want to pull them all out again to compare them all again. Hallertau might be my favorite solo as I find the fast play time and decision space ratio the best of them all. AFFO and TGOL are my least favorite
