The only gripe I have with Scorponok is the base mode. I wish it came with some more features that the G1 toy had. Like the hidden missile pods in the thighs, the gun that made the towers, and the arms/elevator that came out of the legs. I feel like some more features could have made the base mode really stand out, but I still think it's probably one of the best titans we've gotten so far.

Sadly those were were Budget constraints hit. They had a brilliant moment where they realized that Scorponok's design had a lot of parts mirrored, so they could save on the mold, and outright said that he'd be two inches shorter if they hadn't realized that.

Cool video. Nice to see someone else sees the merits of Full Tilt. The Legends Manga featured Targetmaster Sureshot. His character model was based on the Full Tilt body with Quake's Titanmaster Chasm. It's a shame they didn't make it an actual toy. My young nieces and nephews used to love gathering all my Titanmasters and feeding them to Trypticon when I'd babysit them. I think they should have saved Countdown for the Omega Sentinel as the alt mode is closer in colour to Countdown's G1 base. Again, cool video.

Ark is actually my favorite. I will never own one because they're way out of my price range but the Ark is actually the only one of the Titans I would actually want if I could afford it. I love the idea of taking the ships which were never really meant to transform and actually turning them into Transformers because I always felt like they should be. The other Titans aren't bad they just aren't as interesting to me. Oh and the Combiner teams I don't think should even be Titans. Only because I feel like if they were sold separetly and spaced out like other combiners at the time that it would make it easier for people on a budget to pick them up that way rather than having to comit to the entire set all at once. Not everyone can always afford to just drop $200 in one lump and those sets would be easy to pack separately and spread out meaning your making 6 smaller payments on Devastator or 5 smaller payments on Predaking. Would still be the same combined price over all just spread out which is a lot easier to budget around for consumers.

The exception I make for the Ark "just being a large vehicle instead of having a base mode" is simply that it is The Ark... that transforms. Born in 1984, the Ark has always been some fan made thing or non-commercial display piece at events, backdrops, or whatever. We have gotten some stange power armor for pime or whatever. No. Now we have the Ark proper. The ship, and it trans-freaking-forms into a titan Robot mode!!! It is flawed and needs 3rd party upgrade parts, but we finally have the Ark, and I couldn't say no when I found it on sale.

I really hope this year is the Nemesis, I've wanted it as a toy since Beast Wars. One of the reasons why I was so salty that Takara reissued the Energon Sharkticon mold painted as the Axalon instead of the Nemesis. Axalon is a great figure, but the Nemesis influence in the mold is right there and you literally had an Ark Unicron in the same line, I mean come on, man. Speaking of the Axalon I would love it if they did Maximal and Predacon ships, although probably as Commanders if not Leaders rather than Titans.

I got my Cybertron Metroplex just for 80 € in a Black Friday so in my case it was the same as the original Cyberton Metroplex being bigger than more expensive figures, personally I think that the video is a bit unfair with this figure, it's the most poseable Titan, with very strong joints and can be configured in several ways. The Ark missed a weapon to give it some fire power and perhaps a base mode. Agree about Full Tilt being a great figure that could have been relased as an individual toy or as a remold, anyways being only available for those who got Trypticon makes it more special. Anyways it's great that Titans have been succesful enough to last so much time.

I can't find anything on the wiki to suggest that Generations Metroplex is supposed to represent Fall of Cybertron Metroplex, outside of a note on the later's page that said his generations design was repurposed as that character in the covenant of Primus, which since they were developed at the same time, could be chocked up to cross contamination between projects. While the thrilling thirty figure does sample the voice lines of the FOC character, he doesnt look anything like him. Much of the toy's fetures emulate his G1 appearences, including his flip down visor that's entirely based on inconsistencies in his original design. I belive that the voice lines could be a case of "hey we have these lines and want a sound gimmick." The other thing that bugs me here is that the other WFC/FOC toy's from the time actually do emulate their game appearances quite well, so it doesn't make sense for Metroplex to be based on his FOC character, and not have any resemblance to him while others in that same boat do that quite accurately.

Part of me thinks Fort Max was intentionally held back so you would feel the need to buy Blaster and Optimus and use their base modes to beef up Maximus. It’s got blaster on the cross-sell showing the compatibility, but I wouldn’t say that’s proof enough alone. Very solid ranking. I'd put the repaints way lower, in the main - I infer that you viewed that more-or-less identical toys should be adjacent in the ranking but I think most of the repaints are very prunable characters. I'd also put Omega lower - he is the only titan I've taken out of my display (DX9 Gabriel, instead); moreover, I actually don't think he should be as big as the others. For me, I'd find it hard to split Trypticon, Skorponok and Predaking as my top three - Trypticon probably deserves it for doing the job without 3P upgrades. After that, I only have Ark, Metroplex and Fort Max - I'd probably give Metroplex the top spot among these and Fort Max the bottom slot whilst recognising that Ark is the only one I wouldn't want to swap out for a better option. Omega can follow and all the others can lose in joint last place as I didn't buy any of them (although Black Zarak was a real tempter...)

I personally think Trypticon is super overrated, to the point where I'd say the jet mode is the only *passable* mode he has, but that's neither here nor there. I've also said I think Legacy Cybertron Metroplex is still fine, the lack of a minicon kinda sucks but isn't a game-breaker for me, and it is the only gripe I have with the toy. As a side, with the Legacy Gamer Edition of toys from War for Cybertron on the way, I'm really hoping they give us a titan from that. Mind you they only have like...3 options: Omega Supreme, Trypticon, and Metroplex(FoC version). Sadly I can't see them doing any of them, as Trypicon's alt mode is a space station cannon thing which probably wouldn't be the most engaging alt mode, Metroplex would probably try to cater more to g1 again than anything...Maybe Omega Supreme, WfC Omega Supreme is absolutely my favorite design of the character and he has a well established alt mode in that game that would probably be fairly simple to engineer. I doubt it'll happen, but if it does, hot damn, pray for my wallet. I am absolutely eating up the Legacy stuff rn from Armada to Animated to WfC...best transformers toy line we've had in like a decade based on this stuff alone.

Trypticon could potentially transform into the Prime Nemesis, since FOC confirmed that it is his body reformatted into a ship. Metroplex is probably the least likely, while he is a huge and awesome take on the character, his alt mode, from what little we see of it, is not the best. If they include concept art, like they have with the recent Bumblebee Megatron and Rumble, they might do Broadside, who turns into the refinery transport from the combaticon missions, which could be cool

I wouldn’t say the PRIME Nemesis because not only are those two different designs of the ship, I don’t think it was ever actually CONFIRMED that Prime Nemesis was Trypticon, I’m pretty sure that was just a fan theory a lot of people latched on to and made headcanon, but something may have changed there since I last checked, I’ll admit. That all said, since I made this comment they ended up revealing a G1 Nemesis Titan so I doubt they’d put 2 different Nemesises…Nemisi..? Two different Decepticon warships on the market around similar times. And I mean you’re not wrong about Metroplex either, we DO see his alt mode in its entirety a couple times in the background of the second level of the game, and it is admittedly just this massive battle platform which could make for a fun toy, but I just feel like if they wanted to do Metroplex as a character they probably wouldn’t go for this specific iteration of him. Now, Broadside as the refinery transport is actually an interesting idea, I never even considered that! It would make for a kind of weird choice and I doubt for what it is they’d go and make a TITAN out of it, but as a Leader class in in Studio Series Gamer Edition, I could definitely see it, that WOULD be pretty cool actually! In my perfect world we’d get a WfC Omega Supreme because I love that design so much and it could make for a seriously cool toy if it has half the tricks he has in the game (his mega-laser mode for instance) but I doubt they’d actually do it, as much as I can dream ^^’ Sorry for the essay, I have a nasty habit of being too wordy and stuff on KZbin >w>

So I like your list...but I have to agree with you 80%, to me...Devestator & Predaking are NOT Titans....they are Combiners!!! But that is my opinion.😎

Legacy metroplex seems to not sell here in europe you can get him now new for 138 Euros, still not worth it. Fortress Max I own but is ok but not worth the 300 they are asking for now. I own G1 Metroplex (complete and working still) and he is like a big Commander class but he is awesome and so cool still in base/city mode or ship mode Last I own Black Zarack and he is awesome and the price was perfect I got him in 2022 for 139 euro,

Yea… sorry TG but Devastator to me is addict worthy - the Constructicons sacrifice nearly everything for Devastator. They have barely any articulation, can break easily, look bad in Alt and robot mode and you can get smaller Devastator’s with better articulation for the same price if not cheaper. Devastator is the worst of the Titans for that reason. Also I kinda have to disagree with the idea that Cybertron Metroplex’s size was his best selling point, I think that the character looks very fun, a lot of the axe gimmick and being the leader of Giant Planet also were big sells for him. I do wish he at least came with Drill Bit though… was it really too much to add a Micromaster-sized bot to Metroplex?
@Cloningmaster55 Жыл бұрын
I agree I love Legacy Cybertron Metroplex a lot I bought him as soon as I found him in a store and yes I hope a core class Drill Bit happens sometime as a companion figure to Metroplex and do you think Drill bit could possibly even be a Deluxe if a figure of him releases?

What'll suck is he'll be almost $100, if not that alright, more expensive than the original toy.

how is the ark better than fortress Maximus?

The Ark transforms into an accurate vehicle. Fortress Maximus turns into a plastic wall that's a pale imitation of his original city mode.

If it was a tier list All of the titans are bottom of a list IMO. As a Top 10 list Imma do Ark, 9. Fort Max because that is the T30 Metro mold and that mold works terribly for Fort Max who I personally believe he should be a commander or a Leader at most as I prefer comic scaling for him and Scorp where they are relatively just bigger but not titan scale. Also generally its a terrible mold IMO even as Metro but Metro atleast works it in base mode. Also I am not including Grand Maximus because fuck it, give me RID01 Maximus before Grand Maximus 8. Cybertron Metro I think should have been a commander, Cybertron Menasor is the one I feel is a better as a titan. also he deserved a minicon 7. T30 Metro, his alts are better than his robot mode, although he feels like he will break from when I handled him, although he is a good figure, I hope he is redone and Scamper can be done as a Core Class. 6. Scorp like Fort Max is too big IMO, and i am neutral on him, Scorp is one I definitely want to be Leader Class instead if you exclude the city mode but with it its a Commander and I feel that Scorp could be a good mold as a leader with a chance to have several repaints, Black Zarak and Double Punch plus his head barely ever has a head-head name so Zarak doesn't need an individual toy character unlike Cerebros who would have Emissary/Spike/Buster (Maybe on that last one). 5. Devastator is meh, I don't mind him but the figures I feel needed to be better, I feel he should be done not as a titan but as indivdual robots because gods I hate combiners as a Titan class ngl. 4. Predaking is the same idea as Devy but atleast the individual robots are pretty good, just again, I feel this is a figure that doesn't need the Titan monicre so I am not that in favor of it but this is the point where I am more neutral to liking the figure. 3. Omega is... Fine I guess, still not my favorite but he is one I missed originally when looking at titans and didn't get to mess with one until last year and... its just an update of the G1 toy basically, which again is just fine, so he is a sort of meh bot for me. 2. The Ark/Last Autobot, I love my original 13 to include Last Autobot so him and Mainframe are some of my favorites of the Titan figures as he is not just a brick or doesn't feel he is too big, he feels well sized and the only gripe is the hollowness, I can understand why though as a drop test probably would break apart if he was more thickeer with how the transformation works. 1. Trypticon - He is top because he is one that is full on a brick in intention as the original toy was motorized if I remember correctly and that wasn't one that was added later. Trypt is meant to be a brick and Fulltilt I feel is a great deluxe, I just wish that mold also had a singular release because he looks and feels really nice. Also Trypt is the only one who has a gimmick that wasn't a line wide thing or a carry over to fit and its a gimmick that isn't intrusive, I love it. The lesson I have learned from Titans is: generally I do not like them, they are too big and are just bricks that take up space as most uses I feel work better as individual bots or as a smaller size class in the case of the headmasters. The only ones I feel wouldn't work would be the ship-based characters like Last Autobot and the new Nemesis, or characters that just are generually big like Omega, Trypt, and Metro. I am also someone who despises when a toy is slavishly accurate as I prefer for something new in atleast some regard whether its design or gimmick. I love Slammer for example as he actually has a robot mode and he looks so dopey that its adorable, or to point to an older figure: Classics Prime. Classics Prime is a figure I love as it reinvents Optimus well, like have accuracy sometimes but I would prefer new design ideas and the general takes of different artists more than the standard. Titans have usually tried to be as accurate as possible and I have no hope but to see that continue as its a size class I feel should not be a standard one that comes in every line but one that instead appears every time they decide to do a special release. Like I would prefer to buy two commanders per line than a commander and then a Titan. Then again, that is just my view of the size class I am not a big fan of.

I actually would rather have Cybertron Menasor as a Commander. Cybertron Metroplex IMO should be considered a Titan (although I’d argue that all Gigantion non-Minicons should probably be called Titans, but that’s me) as of how the show depicts Metroplex generally to be pretty big. But I would like to see Cybertron Menasor again, and Quickmix too…
@Avarstia_Owain Жыл бұрын
@@Megamanlanprime I mainly say Menasor as a Titan because really his Alt mode is nothing and the man needs his gimmick XD. I mean both he and Metro are mining rigs but his is a weird driller that doesn't always work in looking at it logistically. Metro I feel needed to be a Commander meanwhile because really, both he and Menasor are more fitting of a Commander when in the legacy idea of style given the scale of Cybertron can be quite odd with both being justifiable for Haslab even but also not really, just thathe in comparison to Menasor can survive without gimmicks being present. Just my issue with him as a titan is that the budget limitations were done very shittily and the price increase on Titans feel more unjustified at 200 for the quality they often are being too much when most are just giant bricks with very little posability because of balancing issues for the size class are common with Cybertron Metro and Ark being the only ones that are posable but also are still tedious in their own ways that is common with the Titan class because as I said, really the only one I actually enjoyed fully with the flaws being paled in comparison by benefits has been Trypticon as unlike Last Autobot I didn't have to sit down and actually look at the figure to figure out the reason behind limitations of the toy, or just the toy is a piece of shit like Fort Max

my only real gripe with Ark is that I wish Mainframe was A.U.N.T.I.E instead, since she was the Marvel equivalent to Teletraan 1 not to mention that it'd tie back to Ark's Bot Mode being based on the Last Autobot, also a Marvel original
