Interesting stuff as always Paul. Maybe by Wax is a wonderful song and my favourite by them. My wife on hearing it asked me if I wanted to tell her something !!! I like the way you describe Everything you wanted to know as slotting together and coming together, though I often though Erica songs about loveless sex very creepy - maybe that was the point. Looking forward to the next Rankings.

I envy you your 60's Graham collection. Has eBay ruined UK charity shops as it has US thrift stores? I'd kill for any mix of the original "People In Love". I can admire the craft of "Life Line" but was disappointed it edged out the bonkers "Please Please Please". Kevin's regrets about Consequences are regrettable.

As always really interesting and enjoyable. “Consequences”. I remember being terribly disappointed when I bought it aged 14 in 1977. The songs are good but the music prog style and not my cup of tea. And the Peter Cook dialogue. Unlistenable. Music from Consequences I enjoy. But they were mad as Kevin clearly knows. Not sure if Lol has really commented. Maybe not popular view but 10cc post 1976 is far more listenable to than any of K & G’s. In my view only of course.
