In flowers plantation now. Raised military base east of Raleigh. Went to Peace and UNC chapel hill , RN. Lived north Raleigh by Crabtree, apex, holly springs, wake forest, garner, that big Heritage neighborhood on golf course, lived in carboro when at UNC in college. We are getting out of here. Was looking Jordan lake area. Chatham and Moore counties, want land, farm, hard to get that here. Johnston county used to be lots cheaper but, lol, just another suburb of Raleigh

Wake forest, lived there 20 years til 21….unrecognizable today, too crowded. Not recommended

Love your channel and I've been watching your content for some years and it was extremely informative when I moved from the south Jersey area down here.. My question is what about Roxboro? it's also around 55 min from Raleigh like some of the other towns mentioned.. what's your take on Roxboro NC?

It's pretty far out. Not really considered part of the Triangle due to being so far North. A lot of people move there to be on or near the lake, but unfortunately we don't know too much about it

As a Boston transplant living in North Durham, I go up to Roxboro sometimes.. its a bit beat up, but great house prices and some good areas. Long stretch down 501 just to get anywhere. If you want rural, Rougemont and Timberlake are amazing

Rocky mount, nashville are the best bang for ur buck still within 45 minutes of raleigh without the over inflated prices

What is your take on Bunn and Lake Royale living? And people who want small living such as a cottage or tiny home. Or allowing temp trailer/camper life while small or tiny home is being built or bought? Also curious about some that didn’t make the map. Royal, Riley, Pearces? Is it just wilderness? Lol. Independent land or lots with flex zoning (for the small extremely affordable dream), basic utilities, not larger average size Sq footage and not in cookie cutter subdivisions.

As a local of 47 years, I wouldn't touch Cary. More reputation than substance at this point. Apex is great but is basically Cary light. Garner and Clayton are the sleeping giants of the area IMHO. Especially with 540 getting set to open. Although less mom and pops, Garner is basically adjacent to the downtown Raleigh area.

Garner has a ton of future growth potential since it's still fairly rural despite being the same distance to DT Raleigh as North Hills

I'm in Clayton. Advice would be to move to Cary if you like to have actual good restaurants and retail. Clayton is abysmal.
