I used to want to live in Raleigh but as I got older, it appealed to me less and less. The primary reason was the traffic. I settled in Wilson, which is 40 miles east of Raleigh. It is a city of about 50k people. Big enough for most everything I want or need but not too big to make getting around difficult. It’s home now.

Love this video. Lillington is growing so fast. You are close to Fuquay, Holly Springs, Apex, Raleigh and Cary. We bought a new construction home a year ago in Lillington and love it.

The only problem I see is lack of lights at night.

I miss Raleigh so much! It’s interesting to see all the changes. I was like “What is Midtown?” Lol… You forgot to mention the Indian restaurants also in Raleigh. My favorite is Taj Mahal at Terry Moore Square on Capitol Blvd. Raleigh!!! I love you!!!!

NC is very expensive but even trailers & manufactured homes are selling as much as the cost of a house. It’s not illegal. NC people don’t want you there. NC is a rude place to live. They will call you Yankee or are you Left or Right? I say WHAT? Then I say I say I don’t follow politics. I listen to music 🎶 all the time.

These ere the whiniest reasons and just so everyone knows. Nobody moves here for the local culture.. they move here for weather. If they move for culture, it's the new culture like Asheville or the triangle.

Cary is jammed Durham sucks crime is growing everywhere stay away from the liberal university areas the young people are leftists outside Wake forest isnt bad Also hard to find really decent food BBQ is ok

People are crazy. RTP and CLT area were such affordable markets for long. WFH polluted this market making homes unaffordable for locals. This is unfair. WFH must end.

North Carolina is my choice,, wide streets, a sidewalk, MATURE TREES is a must, big flat yard and low traffic,, a ranch house or Master bedroom on 1st floor

We just came back yesterday from the area we spent a week there getting to know the area and visiting open houses and new construction we even saw some rentals… lots of construction tons actually and we don’t see why I think that will backfire they are assuming so many will move there and they are over building. We saw lots of empty apartment buildings and plenty of empty office building with maybe a handful of renters… so plenty of rentals too many actually. Why people going bizerk and paying so much? I don’t understand why it’s cute but don’t go crazy is my suggestion. Lots of great places to live in the USA. Don’t go with the trend and don’t believe the hype and stand your ground don’t overpay people ;) I also suggest to visit like we did visit on your own get a feel for it etc

Best thing to do is not move to North Carolina.

Super rough here in Durham too

Been here 14 years..lived in many other states..but the worst thing here is Duke's monopoly on the electric..I've never in my life had such high electric bills. My house in Virginia the electric bill is 1/4 of what it is here..thats why I'm moving back permanently
