Midnight Sun is sooo underrated and truly my personal favorite (dare I say it was her last truly Pat-unique color story for a mothership). The red is deliciously earthy toned without being overwhelming and the mossy green in just perfection.

I loved seeing your ranking unfold and rationale for the placement of each palette :). Not surprised at all with your top two! It's so interesting how the same products can generate different reactions across a consumer base. I think that's what makes experiencing PMG products a little special and fun. If I had to rank the ones I currently own: 1) Sublime, 2) Huetopian Dream, 3) Subversive - honestly neck and neck with Huetopian Dream but HD is just so bright and happy and I'm here for it, 4) Moonlit Seduction, 5) Midnight Sun, 6) Sunlit Seduction, 7) Divine Rose II, 8) Decadence. I couldn't get Subliminal to work for me and I've never purchased Divine Rose I or Bronze Seduction. The Venusian Sunrise quad stole my heart this year though. It's one of the best Pat palettes (and palette in general) that I've ever had. I would run out to repurchase if something happened to it! Apologies for the quasi-thesis but this video made me revisit my own thoughts/ranking!

Love love love Subversive, how dark and smoky it is. That's my everyday vibe. Well, that and messy grunge. Also, love Sublime and Subliminal. Such smoky goodness. Love Midnight Sun, grungy goodness. I don't understand people saying Midnight Sun is hard to use either, except to say preference and preferred aesthetic 🤷🏽‍♀️

I think people just don’t know how to combine colors/try to overcomplicate their looks but that’s not the palettes fault.

@@QueerBones My eyes perceive color 'weird' sometimes. I think a combination will look right, and when it doesn't, I keep working on the look until I like it 🫣. Sometimes, too, I think it comes down to blending.

I totally agree with your thoughts on celestial odyssey, I think it’s the best holiday palette PM ever did. I love that palette. I think I need to pull out my motherships more. I only have 4 but I need to use them more. Nice ranking.

I so enjoyed watching your ranking because it was almost exactly the way I would rank my 25 PML palettes… and that’s rare! By the time you got to your top 5, I figured you did not have Divine Rose I & II, as those were my last two mothership purchases just to complete my collection. Oddly enough, the only Mothership I refuse to buy is XI, but after watching your review for that, I ALMOST purchased it. And I don’t think Mothership I gets enough credit, I’m so glad to see someone adore it as much as I do. Happy New Year, and thanks for sharing 🎉

Thank you! It's really good to hear your opinions on these palettes and go through the shades. I got mothership I recently and I'm so happy with it. I like watching ranking videos but I don’t think I could do one because I would be changing my mind as I’m ranking them😂. I finally picked up PML Motherships during that 40% off sale. I got Subliminal, Subversive and Midnight Sun. They are quite nice and I like the subtleness I am getting inlooks compared to how many of our beloved I die Shadows can be super intense. At the same time that I like the quality, I do not see these ever being able to replace what I get from my indie collection.

LOVE this eye look! Thank you for this! I’m trying to decide whether to catch their sale or pass… I already have the two minis, and I believe most of the mattes are repeat shades, so I would be paying still a lot of money for shades already have! Plus, I’m kind of into small palettes right now, and I’m not sure I want another heavy, monster palette at the moment. Edited to add: that quad that you love is super-tempting! Colin, can you tell me what kind of closure it has? The one with the blue blood color in it? I got one of the blushes recently, desert orchid, which I love, but with my dexterity issues I have the worst time getting it open! I don’t want another one of those packages that I have to fight with.

Thank you! I think the closure is very similar to the blushes. I don’t have any single blushes or bronzers from her but I have a highlighter that’s in very similar packaging.

OK, gotcha! Over time, the blush package has gotten easier to open, but I can’t tell you how many times when I was trying to open it with a knife or a nail file that I stuck the tool into the product.😮 not cool Thank you so much for your response!

I, too, think Bronze Seduction is overrated. I do understand it's a "best seller," and think because the color story is basic. Decadence. When you started the video, I wondered if that was what was on your lids. Your box description made me laugh out loud. "A picture with a tie thing, whyyyyyy?" 😆😅😂 Back to the video

Actually I’ve done this. I may have followed a Kinky Sweat (Alicia) tutorial for Subversive. The Subversive version was a warmer look, and with Subliminal it was a brighter look I recreated using the same tutorial and wore in the summer. I was surprised how similar the looks were but how different they could be because of the tones.
