Despite my negative rankings on 1/3 of this album, I absolutely adore this project. This is a ranking of Side A of Music To Be Murdered By. Keep in mind that these rankings are all my opinion and you are welcome to disagree

Damn, this might the album where we have the most differences haha, Leaving heaven is literally at the bottom of my ranking list, as well two others of your top 5 😂 But this is great you adored this album cause this is, in my opinion, his best album since Relapse! (with side B)

@@JethroParis best album since relapse? Recovery, MMLP2 and Kamikaze are better than MTBMB
@JethroParisАй бұрын
@@FowlerTheScouser-xh4ep Recovery and MMLP2 are both two amazing and classic albums, but MTBMB is just better. Recovery had a few tracks that has Shady vibes such as Cold Wind Blows and So Bad, but overall it was also the most mainstream album Eminem ever did, targetting all audience, the exact opposite of Relapse. And sometimes, it felt like Eminem was forcing himself to sounds angry when he had no reasons to be, Seduction is a good example of that. Also, I think this is where Eminem started to sound differently in choruses, or just not making them at all. Then MMLP2, as much as it's a great and classic album, and as much as it's nowhere near as bad as Revival, it was still the first step to what Revival is, beat wise. While back in 2013 trap and more modern kind of beats was trending, Eminem picked Rick Rubin's to prod most of the album. And as much as I love MMLP2, Berzerk, Survival etc, objectively, it sounded outdated. Even Rap God's beat sounds messy to me. The featuring with Kendrick Lamar was a waste, and not to mention Eminem going country and As....le's beat. And Kamikaze... Dude, even Encore is a better album. It only has 11 tracks and half of them are skips or fillers. And even the good ones doesn't have such a replay value because they're answers to a previous album, and I doubt people will care in 10 years. And some tracks still has the same audio quality than in Revival, such as Stepping Stones. It's one of the best track of the album, but it still suffers the same weird autotune effect Eminem had in Revival when he's singing. Kamikaze was a good step in the right direction, and it was a good album, but still his second worst to me. MTBMB came in as a surprise and a bomb. Why am I convinced this is his best album since Relapse? Because it did everything better than Recovery, MMLP2 and Kamikaze. Dr. Dre was back at making beats again, which is something we didn't see since 2010, She Loves Me's beat gives such Crack a Bottle vibe. A new Dr. Dre featuring, which we were waiting for since 2011. Eminem getting better and better on rhyme schemes and flows, Alfred's Theme and Gnat being good exemples of that. It has one of his best story telling song ever in it (Darkness). Beats finally sounds modern with producers such as D.A.. Finally featurings with younger artists, such as Don Toliver and Ty Dolla. Finally, FINALLY, Eminem sounds like he's having fun rapping again. I think he still had fun in Recovery and MMLP2, don't get me wrong. But it wasn't on Relapse's level of fun. And the choruses! This is how Eminem needs to sound like in chorus, back to how he used to make them! Choruses that flows the beat perfectly, such as in In Too Deep, She Loves Me, Farewell and so on. And not to mention skits that give Encore vibes or tributes to his Relapse fans by taking the accents back in Discombobulated. So yes, to me MTBMB is his best album since Relapse.
